I've been a very big fan of the RE series and I can't wait for this new addition
to the series to come out. Supposely Umbrella's gone and no zombies whatsoever.
Instead insane humans replace them. Somehow Umbrella's connected with the
storyline. Anyone know when the game will come out.? Feel free to talk about
anything related to RE.
I'm also a huge fan and while I'm looking forward to this release, I just hope
they don't screw it up like they did with Outbreak. I think that Umbrella is
what holds the series together so I have my doubts. I think one more game after
this should be enough to bring closure to the series. I think the 5th should be
about Jill Valentine after the destruction of Racoon City. Remember in Jill's
diary she writes that she'll continue to look for Chris because she believes
he's still alive? she then says she will travel to Europe to reunite with Chris
who is looking for Claire. By the time she gets there, however, the Code
Veronica X chapter would have already happened. Jill's story would then unfold
and she would put an end to Umbrella forever. Of course, this would've had to
happened before RE4. I need to write to Capcom.

corporation so I'm pretty sure they're not gone yet. I've been waiting for this
sequel for so long. I remember after RE2 I wanted Capcom to follow up the story
with Leon. If I'm not mistaken, I remember Leon ending the game saying its not
over, they're going to put an end to Umbrella. Thank you for answering my
question. I'm going to get the game once it comes out. On the other side is it
wise to buy the GC version even though they're going to make a PS2 version?
I'm not sure. i assume the GC will boast better graphics. I'd say if you have a
GC buy the GC version. Also did you know: "There will be a 'mystery' woman
that appears in the game." according to the producer of RE4 when asked if
Ada Wong would appear in this one. I hope she does! There's no way she died in
RE2.

Oh man, what a week, two days ago was the US release of RE4 and I went to a near
game store where I live and I was very disappointed in hearing they wont have it
in stock till 2 days after. After that I saw my friend and he said he was going
to Target or Walmart. Next day, I found out he didn't get it. Today I went
during lunch to get Re4 and they still didn't receive it till 6-10mins later and
luckily I was there. First one to purchase RE4 there. =D. I just recently played
but I stopped. Stupid school. So much homework.
Well my friend, ky_rei, it's official: this game is horrible. I cannot believe
the kind of garbage we were sold. I was going to warn you beforehand but you
obviously already bought it. Dang! How do you like it so far? As you can tell I
hate this game. I am utterly dissapointed in what Capcom did to the series; they
completely mutilated the Resident Evil saga.
For anyone reading this and thinking about purchasing Resident Evil 4, know that
it is NOT a Resident Evil game. It is not a continuation, it is in no way
related to Resident Evil except for the names of two characters Leon Kennedy and
Ada Wong; there are no other ties to the series. Resident Evil fans be warned
that this is also an action game. Capcom has decided to make a jump in genre; it
plays like an action game. There are many reasons why I think this game should
not be given the title of Resident Evil 4. I've decided to write my review or
RE4 on amazon.com so anyone that is interested can read it. I would recommend
you not get the game without first reading my review. It should appear in about
a day as I have just placed it a few minutes ago on Thursday night.
What a coincidence, ky_rei, I was also the first one to purchase it at a
particular game store first thing in the morning a couple of days ago, though I
wish I never did.

Hmm, I'm enjoying it as of now. But I do feel it isn't a Resident Evil game. I
don't feel the 'magic' really. Like the old feeling isnt there anymore. I do
agree with you rslgto in some ways, but I guess I'm a little more open-minded
than you are. I'm still at the beginning of the game and I hope to find out
what's the story behind the villagers. Please no spoilers on this Thread nor any
links for your posts that a related to spoilers in any way. Well in my opinion
if you want to know what happened to Umbrella, plot , or just want to retry the
Resident Evil series when you gave up on the other ones.

its quite good. even tho it doesnt
relate RE at all. it does give a feel of chilling going thru your throat.
I have to say the game looks really awesome! My friend got a demo of it from EB
after pre-ordering it. He still hasn't gotten it yet unfortunatley. From what
I saw the people come at you quicker and there's more of them. They wield
weapons like hatchet, knives, and chainsaws! The graphics are really good too.

I am giving up on the RE. I'll stick with what is good; the old games.
Unfortunately I had high hopes for the RE saga, but it's evident that after the
Outbreak release and RE4 being released right after and both being shi**y, for
lack of a better word, I think I'll start calling myself a true, old-school
Resident Evil fan and enjoy my original Resident Evil games.

i only played the first and second one, but i never finished them, i dunno they never really hooked me for some reason. the movie was terrable :P

The PS2 version of RE4 will come out at the end of 2005. Supposely added things and new features.
