I'm interested to know. What kind of RPG character(s) do you like? Knight? Black
Mage? White Mage? Thief?...what will it be? Also is there a class name for
characters like Khimari (Final Fantasy X) and Quistis Trepe (Final Fantasy VIII)
who specialize in stealing enemy skills?
Anyhow those classes I named are just a few examples, feel free to name a class
that I haven't listed. Also feel free to name your favorite RPG character of
your favorite class as well. Have fun!
Um... I generally like White Mage. Either
that or Thieves. But I don't play RPGs very often, so I suppose it doesn't
really matter.
Still, nothing quite beats the fun of casting magic.
Summoner Calculator of Final Fantasy Tactic...
The idea of sending Holy Spell or any kind of spell like this on anyone with no
charge time and mana cost IS really interesting...
Hmm.... that's a tough question.... As soon as I saw the subject, I thought,
"Fighter/Warrior." But I guess you're more referring to classes in
RPGs like the Final Fantasy series, sooooooo.....
THIEF! I love stealing! ffvi(ffiii for all those who have the US version) was
the first RPG I ever played. My high school buddy actually had the ffiii SNES
cartridge. Can't find that thing anywhere nowadays. Anyway....I got hooked on
thieves for obvious reasons.

Actually classes from any RPG is okay, though if there are any classes outside
of the Final Fantasy games please do enlighten me. I don't own that many RPGs
and very few of them have anything different from the FF series as far as
classes go. Here is what I own: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy viii, Lunar:
Silver Star Story, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Chrono Trigger (the SNES ver. btw),
Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga
Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht, and Xenogears. So basically all of my games
either have the same types of character classes or don't have anything at all as
they don't seem to be significant to the game in question i.e. Xenosaga.

red mages! even though some would argue that they're useless their outfit is so
cute (i love the hat with the white feather) and i kinda like the idea of mixing
white and black magic mixed in with some enfeeblement spells like poisons. Also
Khimari (this is just my idea some may see it differently) is like a
dragoon/blue mage(he steals enemy abilites but also has jump and lancet),
quistis is more of what a true blue mage is like. Their the class that steals
enemy abilities like in final fantasy tactics advance for the game boy.
Personally I'm a Fighter/Knight/Paladin type... and yes i like swords
Though i liked the Final Fantasy Tactics job system more than others...
especially for the character design, i wouldnt mind wearing those armors
From the original FF I love the Fighter and Red Mage(You can see my FF party in
my sig ^.^ )
From FFTactics I like the Lancer class and Ninja, and from FFTA I like Dragoon
and Paldin
On Fire Emblem I like Mages... no... I love Mages (Clerics and Shaman are cool
but old fashioned Mage is my fave)
But overall, if I had to choose one class... It'd be Lancer/Dragoon

Thanks. Blue Mages, that is the term that I was looking for.
Also I take it fighters are characters like Zell Dintch and Tifa Lockheart
correct?
I like the fighter/warrior mage class myself.
i like swing'n swords, fast attack rates and high attack power, with little
concern for deffence. i dont like the slow super high HP DEF tank char. i guess
thats somtimes called a 'berserker'. and if a game engine allows it, i like
evasion. such as the 'ninja' from disgaea.
and a little magic on the side is always useful

technically tifa and zell are monks (but maybe thats what you meant ^_^) because
they fight hand to hand and the way you input their limit breaks. tidus, squall,
and cloud are more sterotypical fighters. I always liked systems (such as final
fantasy) that have more diverse fighting classes than just some guy with a
sword.

Monks! i take it you play a little D&D?
lol yes I do, but to make me not look like a total dork (lol just joking)
they've been refered to as monks since the first ff with a job system.
::blushing at my own nerdyness:: ^_^

I see sometimes I tend to forget about synonyms especially given it depends on
what game you're playing. I remember that a friend of mine once told me that
Tifa and Zell are monks but I wasn't sure that fighters was another name for
them given that they use hand-to-hand combat. But I see now. I tend to refer to
characters like Cloud, Squall, and Tidus as knights XP.

I like Dragoons from the FF serires. Especially Freya from FF IX. Her
combination of power, magic, and defense was excellent. Beside FF, I've always
been partial to priests. Not white mages, but more along the lines of DnD
Priests (platemail-wearing, mace-toting healers). Both Dragoons and Priests are
versitile, and I guess thats what I like best.
Thieves are branded as bad, but Locke and thieves in other games proves that
they do it for survival (only steal from the bad people and protect their
friends) and can be great individuals.
My apologies, I should have named my favorite class(es). I'd have to go with
Black Mages and Knights. Knights have always left a good impression on me
because they tend to do the most damage as far a physical attacks go and I've
always had a thing for swords though Japanese swords preferably but RPG knights
tend to have some nicely designed swords. Black Mages because they're the
pinnacle of mages in my opinion since they command offensive spells, of course
that is not to say that I don't value a healer especially at the beginning of
the game where its common you have no cash and buying hp/mp restoration items is
very costly. However, Black Mages I like a bit more because they're very
reliable in battle especially if the enemy/boss' weakness is elemental based as
opposed to physical attacks.

Aww thats cute they are like knights.
i'd go with a Knight, i'm the kinda person who relies on physical strength and not magic
Rouge/Black Mages/Other Beings...

Gotta go with thieves. Started with FFs Locke.

Video game RPG's or pencil n paper RPG's?
In games I usually like to play warriors or magic-users.
Videogame RPGs.
