This is one those questions I've always wondered about as they're probably the
only two hero characters out of the elite main cast who haven't faced each
other. So who you think will win?
Aoshi cannot beat Hajime because He lost to Kenshin twice but yet Kenshin and
Hajime has faced each other numerous times and cannot beat each other clearly.
Shishio Makoto would pwn them both for free and still be home in time for
breakfast.
Voted Saitou, besides being cooler IMO he's seems more "resourceful"
to me. Remember that part when he fought Kenshin using his jacket?
Yea, his jacket and his belt. I don't
think Aoshi would be able to do so much with that long coat of his. <-voted
Saitoh as well. Not to be biased or anything, but he's always been my favourite
character anyways. Ever cool and level-headed. *nods* Fights the same. Aoshi couldn't
compete.
Besides, like kyouou said, if we use the battousai himself as a yardstick, well.
It's Saitoh all the way. Even if we use the other battousai Shishio, Saitoh at
least managed to touch him.

I've considered that too, but I found one problem with that comparison. Aoshi's
second lost was to post Kenshin after he learned the Kuzu Ryu Sen/Amakakeru Ryu
no Hirameki. Sure Keshin and Saitou have never clearly defeated one
another but Saitou hasn't faced post Kuzu Ryu
Sen/Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki
Kenshin. So I wonder how Saitou would do against Kenshin with those attacks
added to his aresnal.
I think it's pretty clear that while Aoshi may be cool, his skills are no match
for Saitoh, who was regarded as one of the best swordsmen of the entire era
(both in the series and in real life).

I
echo the sentiments of kyouou and bucket-shot here as well.

well most explanations were already given.........i also think Saito would win
Well, no offence to Aoshi bishie fans but Saito could win anyday. He's just more skilled with a sword than Aoshi.

Saito Hajime will win
i think saito hajime would win !!
