My friends at school always jokingly make fun of me for watching anime. The
thing that gets to me is that they plays RO and it has anime-like characters.
They seem to love how the characters look, but not anime. It really makes me
wonder. None of my friends at school watches anime, but those around my
neighborhood do. What do your friends think about anime?
lol... i kno how u feel, most of my friends dont watch anime at all and they
think that im overly obsessed wit watchin it... i guess thats why i started to
talk on forums in order to be able to talk to people bout anime since i dont
realli kno alot of people who watch it ... most of the time my friends get
confused on who is a guy and who is a girl in animes wen i show em pics... but i
do try to get my friends into watchin anime
i think i am really lucky with my friends. Most about 90% of my friends are into
anime and thats really good, always borrowing others anime and dvd's ^___^
I only have two proper friends - one of them is my girlfriend, whom I actually
met on an anime forum (an internet relationship which actually worked - we're
living together now :p), and the other is someone I only really got to know
because I randomly mentioned my liking of anime to him, and found that he was a
big fan too (now he privides me with fansubs, since I don't have broadband). :p
Most of the friends I've had haven't been Anime fans... and most of them never
really knew I liked anime as much as I did either. I kept it virtually all
secret mostly through out highschool. I had my sister as an anime fan at the
time so I always had someone to fangirl with up until she stopped liking it.
When I left highschool, and lost contact with all my friends I still kept it
hidden and particullary to myself... But eventually, after 5 years of being a
fan, I decided to meet up with someone from online to go to my first anime
convention with, I lost them by the end of the day, but ran into an old
highschool friend and her best friend who were both anime fans, so yeah, I can
finally say that my friends like anime... so I don't have to hide anymore. It's
a great feeling.

They also constantly borrow all my anime and manga too.
My collection to them is like their own personal library. ^_^
Hmm.. most of them likes anime and are fans. Some, who are not interestedev in
animation says it's ok to held intrest in that and they don't mind since they
have their own hobbys different from mine. There're some ppl who have this
ironical smile on face when I talk about it, yet I can always make them more
aware of reasons why I like animation more than normal movies.
But generally my friends have nothing against me haveing intrest in animation.
None of my friends liked anime, in fact those that i did tell gave me shit about
it ( just abit of fun to annoy me never to hurt me). I do have my little brother
who is also into anime though which is cool, also i am starting to talk to some
people who are into anime (not friends) and once the anime/game con comes later
this year i hope to meet even more anime fans.
Hmm.... among friends, only about two shares my love for it and only one knows
I'm into YAOI but none knows to what extent I'd go for those animes I love You could
say that my anime life is very much separated from my real life.

they are. But I had lot's of cousin whom loves anime....

fact that i am an otaku , i mean people has all kinds of hobbies right? anime is
just the ultimate greatest hobbie of all !!!
I'm a big fan of anime along with my sister, but none of my friends understand
my precious hobby... Of course I'm allways trying to make them like anime, but
it's hopeless...
