I just googled it is some stuff came up, it seems so, looks like the cast and
stuff hasn't been chosen yet so I guess it's a bit early to know what really
happening
I read some time ago that thanks to the success of the Resident Evil movies (by
success they most obviously mean money, not quality film-making...) Capcom had
plans of selling the DMC and Onimusha licenses for movies.
I can live with the bad RE movies considering they didn't disgrace the actual
game characters that much, but I doubt they can make a DMC movie without Dante
and with that in mind, if they're not gonna make the movie right, they shouldn't
even bother to do it at all!
I don't know. I mean if it was all CG it would be cool (like FF AC) but of
course they need to hire actors. I mean RE wasn't a bad movie but the fact was
they didn't want to have relation to the game. I mean the new one probably
followed the game better but I doubt by much. So I really doubt it will be much
of a success (at least to gamers).
I don't know if this is what you are talking about but a while back I came
across a DMC trailer...it was way too realistic to belong to any of the games
and way to sharp and clear to be live action. It was definitely CG, but I don't
know if it was for a movie or not...it was in japanese. The site I found it on
was gametrailers.com, but I haven't been there in ages so I have no idea if its
still there...if it is it should be under DMC 2...
i dunno...if there going to hire actors...it'll be a bit um...not as good? like
in devil may cry ohh u can run off walls and do upsidedown shooting, role on the
ground and saomesalt or mid air role your way back to your feet and the list
goes on of the best moves ever. If you get a crew of actors to do its it'll be
almost impossible to do....matrix dosn't count, matrix is a noob video compared
to waht dante can do. if it was CG on the other hand...it'll be easier cool and
nicer. even if a real person could do it with graphic with it it'll look a bit
weird....best go withh CG all the way. If they do make a Devil May cry movie
though....hmm...i hope the main charaters Jap.

i think you answered your question. If it was at a site about game trailers,
than i believe it would be a game trailer. This whole game/anime to movie fad is
getting old fast though. Its quite sad. Perhaps companies should think about the
quality of the movie before letting other people see it instead of the money.
Plus, the better the movie the more people will see it, which means more money!

Well, now that I think about it, unless the eventual movie is a 100% original
story CG is the only way to go for a good chunk of reasons like Dante's
Matrix-shaming tricks and what I think is a bigger reason - the fact that in the
games there's like a maximum of 3 or 4 human (looking) characters, Dante,
Vergil, the girl sidekick (Trish, Lucia or Lady) and the loon who wants to open
the gates of the Underworld.
So, yes, CG's got my vote!
I wouldn't mind a DMC movie at all. I haven't played a single game, but I love
the cinematics I've seen. I don't know about a fully CG movie, those are still
rare and hard to produce in terms of time, money, and public interest... if it's
live action... hell, they're making Evangelion live action, why not DMC!

Yeah I'd definitley say that the trailer you are speaking of is probably from DMC 3. It looks really awesome.
If you ask me, having a devil may cry movie would be pretty awesome. It could be like the Blade movies except with with a big sword.
