Not sure if this in the right place, sorry.
Anyone ever want to make a manga/anime series of your own? Well, talk about it!
For me, it would be the series that am writing, which is the same series that my
screen name came from. Lots of stuff written on it. it originaly started as a
simple message board rp I posted at a site, but it died quickly, and only two
people (me and a friend) are really working on it, and a thrid who loosly works
on it. anyway, he is a guide I wrote up to try to explain some stuff
Akki No Issen is a world far removed from our own. In this world, not only do
shinobi, samurai, demons, and other various things exist, but they tend to play
key roles in the future of the world. First,
let’s discuss the rankings of order that
all countries have.
First up, the Shinobi.
The shinobi tend to do various work, from helping solve murder to causing it;
these are the true work force of the country. A rank system has been set in
place, as has a schooling system. This was decided on after loosing far too many
shinobi on missions they couldn’t
handle.
Shinobi Council: this is a group of people, mostly the Shoudou, the leader of
the particular country, and other well established men and women. One can only
climb up in ranking at the will of the council.
Shoudou; The Shoudou is the leader of every single shinobi in a country. He/she
has proven himself to the country various times, by not only his/her skill and
strength, but his/her ability at leadership. One can not even think about
becoming the Shoudou without the favor of the current Shoudou.
Shinto: The Shinobi in charge of a single village. These special Shinobi cities
are placed in strategic locations throughout a country. Every Shinto has a
network of spies, assassins, and other workers in the shadows spread from them
to the nearest Shinobi city. They arrange for meetings with the Shinobi council
when they believe a shinobi of theirs is ready to climb in rank.
Karyudo; Hunters, that’s what these
specialized men and woman are. They spend their time hunting down various
people, from the most dangerous felons, S-class, to minor offenders, E-class.
However, it is rare for them to hunt down any criminal below C-class, unless a
large sum of money has been paid. Upon finding their target they either kill
them, or capture them. It’s all a matter
of what their orders were.
Koudo; These men and woman are the real work force of the shinobi. Not only do
they train students who have graduated from the academy, but they also hired out
to people if they are in need of a mission.
Soko: Title to someone who has graduated from the academy. They do minor
missions, mostly escort service from thugs and bandits, and other odd jobs that
require little fighting, all from the guidance of a Koudo.
Student: starting at the age of six a child can enter the academy set up for
Shinobi, and be taught by Koudo, half of which are about to retire from their
Shinobi rank. During the nine years they are in the academy they will learn
various fighting styles and techniques that will help them survive.
Next is the Samurai.
The Samurai are mainly a military force, but they also are the police force on
the public face. Usually they do things like securing an area, crowd control,
and they are the main force in times of war.
The Shogun is in charge of a country’s
force. Under him are Goushi, who controls the various captains of the many
squads in a country.
Now the countries and their special force.
Hisaki- Volcanoes are predominant on the landscape in Hisaki and much of the
land is covered by fire and rivers of magma.
-Main power: A man or woman called by the name of Gasshiri. They can withstand
temperatures to extremes that would kill a normal human.
--Special Force: Rakuda; masters at surviving the harsh climate and blending in.
they can spend months in places others would last days.
Hisen- mainly mountainous islands grouped together by suspension bridges.
Waterfalls can be found everywhere, giving the country its name
-Main power: A man or woman called Fuma. These people are most adapt to their
country, which very often spills right into the water.
--Special Force: Kagakusha; due to the habitat in which they grow up in they
have great control over their ki and can have expert footing on almost every
surface, including water and vertical walls. They are also medicinal specialists
and have a thorough knowledge of poisons as well, in particular, plaint
poisons.
Kido- much of this country is covered by large mines as the soil is rich with
rare minerals and precious stones.
-Main power: A man or woman called Giyaman. Finely attuned to the earth they can
predict earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other natural disasters.
--Special Force: Soshi; tied directly to the earth they are able to summon one
of the Elementals. These eight creatures are wise and powerful and will listen
to requests of a select few.
Hayashi- this country has almost no open areas, its all timberland. Most
villages/cities/towns are built into the surrounding forest
-Main Power: A man or woman with the title of Hunter. Able to track anyone or
anything, and finely attuned to the animals around them.
--Special Force: Ranger; using excellent marksmanship the men and women who
carry this title can pick anything off with their bows.
Kane- Land of technology. This country is the place for any inventor or metal
smith. Anything and everything related to machinery can be found in this
country.
-Main power: a President, elected once every eight years.
--Special Force: Alchemist; Using the science of Alchemy these multi-taskers can
do anything from fight to build cities.
Kei- Religious center of the world. This is the birthing place of all religion,
and the countryside is covered with temples to various orders.
-Main power: a man (MUST be a man) called the Pope.
--Special Force: Templar Knights; These Paladins are charged with protecting the
religious order. It is their duty to lay down their life to protect the temples
and all those who are faithful.
Mei- Hidden land of Demons. This country is hidden deep beneath the earth and
many tribes of tenma; long though to have been killed off, live here.
-Main power: Ayaui is the title given to the leader of this country in the
shadows. Male of female, this person is one to be feared.
--Special Force: Hashashim; Ruthless assassins that stop at nothing to kill
their target. No one has ever escaped from them. However, while they are
ruthless, they have a very strict code, and will not assassinate anyone that
would result in a major political upheaval.
Kon- Oldest of the Countries, this land was the first formed by the gods. Ki is
naturally abundant here, and large rivers of pure energy flow sluggishly across
the landscape. Many strange and interesting things reside in this country. The
Forest of Kareki is an example. The trees are petrified, yet they are still
considered to be living, as they grow as time goes on.
-Main power: a man or woman (usually a man) with the title of Heki.
--Special Force: Joukei; Fighters with extreme control of their Ki. Their senses
are enhanced to such a fine point many say they can see the future, which,
however, is not true. They are able to see through every move that anyone can
make, even if that person has no emotion. Their hearing is fine enough to hear a
muscle twitch, and their sense of smell is fine enough to detect one drop of
blood nearly half a mile away.
Character Profiles (Written by Rob, with help from Brandon and me)
Seiteki Ayano:
A Kagakusha of Hisen, Ayano is talented both at offence and healing, and an
operative on a vast number of missions. She was taken to her home village with
her brother when her parents fought, and consequentially died in a minor battle,
which the Shinto of the town fled out of cowardice. This drove her to train, and
look after her younger brother. Also, when she was older, she also started to
take care, and inspire another young Shinobi called Heikin. Caring, clever and
talented, Ayano is the inspiration of her village, and rightfully deserves the
success which she has gained.
Cassandra Chai:
A voice of reason and patience, Cassandra traveled with Ijin for a short period,
before he deserted her. Allies, but never a romantic item, she helped the search
for him after he left Hana’s town, along
with Yusuke and Yun.
Kesshi Haru:
A mysterious demon with a fierce nicotine addiction, Haru is never far from his
case of self rolled cigarettes. No one is sure of his exact age, but he played
some role in the first global war. Haru is the right hand man of Kashikoi, who
recognized his special abilities. Haru may not be the best fighter, but he has
the unique ability to change his facial features at will, making him a perfect
spy.
Montei Heikin:
A girl who views Ayano as the greatest person alive, Heikin is an adept learner
to her Ayano’s lessons. Abandoned by her
parents, Heikin was destitute until Ayano started teaching her. She has
considerably less respect however, for Ijin, when he enters their lives,
branding him a pervert. The two have never seen entirely eye to eye, but Heikin
is only being protective of the woman she views as her senpai, and in reality
has a heart of gold.
Hosei:
Hosei's teaching methods may at times seem a little out of the ordinary, but he
is always looking for a way to push his students. By having them experience real
life and death situations his students' growth is hands and shoulders above
other teachers. He is very thoughtful, and cares deeply for everyone around him.
He was good friends with Kyou's father, and therefore knows about Kyou's true
potential. He hates whining and he can’t
stand "I can’t do it". All in
all, he is a strict teacher, a caring friend, and a hard worker
Taigai Ijin:
Ijin is Kyou’s half brother. Highly
emotive, Ijin was brought up by an old master, who took his guilt for failing to
save Ijin’s parents out on Ijin,
bringing him up to push for revenge against those who had murdered them. He has
a shock of dark hair, handsome features and green eyes. Strongly believing in
tenents that he learned from Kyou, his fighting style is an agile one that
focuses on the blade. He has never bothered with magics, instead channeling his
energies into life preserving natural abilities he received from his mother's
side. However, unlike Kyou, his life span is that of a typical human, the
difference that his human father granted him.
Shiratori Kagome:
Kagome is a medical specialist, just like her mother. She is very strong willed,
and usually a cheerful person as well. She is a very talented Shinobi, and more
than capable of taking care of herself. She never lets Kyou become depressed,
and hates it when people are critical of others. Always doing her best she
expects no less from those around her, and she is one of the few that has
accepted Kyou in both of his forms.
Kishin Kashikoi:
A subtle and smart politician, Kashikoi has no combat training, but his mind is
sharper than any blade. Kashikoi is willing to employ any means possible to make
Kei, his country, a democracy, to take away the power from the foolish and
corrupt pope. He is not above blackmailing Onmitsu, and is ably assisted by
Haru.
Hikutsu Kyou/the Kenki:
A full blooded demon and half brother to Ijin. At the age of five his parents,
along with the entire clan, were ruthlessly slaughtered, however, Kyou,
empowered by one of his few friends, Ryuukutsu, a giant and ancient dragon,
killed the entire force. The Shinobi around him quickly realized his talent, and
skill as an exceptional warrior. Never seen without a set of Juzu beads on his
right wrist Kyou is very tall, and has long lengthy limbs, with long black hair
done up in a simple band. Hating tight fitting clothing he usually wears a pair
of martial slacks and a simple, loose fitting Gi with the sleeves trimmed to the
length of a T-shirt and a katana thrust in a simple cotton sash. It is said that
a giant demon from the depths of the Abyss and the soul of a Shoudou are in
constant combat within the Juzu that he wears, thus giving them their extreme
power. These beads only purpose is to seal
Kyou’s demon blood. He willingly wears
the beads, fearing what would happen should he lose control. Often appearing
cold, and to many, apathetic, Kyou walks the thin line of gray between good and
evil. However, to those he allows to get to know him he is a passionate and
skilled fighter who cares very deeply for those around him.
Over his travels he has gained the help of two mythical creatures, Ryuukutsu, a
creature once condemned to the Abyss, but now able to travel across the planes
of existence with ease. He is a black dragon of enormous size, with red scales
forming ornate patters across his hide. The other creature is Ookami, the spirit
of a white wolf who died more than a million years ago. Over time he has
developed the ability to speak.
Netsui Kyoya/Lord Kyoya:
A long term templar of Kei, Kyoya is strong, cunning, and devout in his beliefs.
He has no compunction about murdering any families with demon blood, viewing
them to be subhuman and monstrous. It was he who arranged for
Kyou’s parents to be murdered, and
personally killed Ijin’s father, letting
his lackeys murder his mother. Of late, he has been collaborating with another
templar, and higher powers, for the invasion and overrun of Kon.
Tenshu:
Tenshu is the most powerful of all the gods. More than anything else, he enjoys
playing games with mortals. Devious, clever, arrogant and with a mischievous
sense of humor, Tenshu is as flawed as the mortals he spends so much of his time
manipulating. He also values Ijin and Kyou above all other mortals, and views
them as his favorite playing pieces.
Zhang Yun:
An old friend/rival of Ijin, and a most capable Shinobi, Yun was romantically
entangled to a girl called Otome, who’s
death he always blamed on Ijin, accusing him of attempting to steal her away
from him before her end.
Kiyosoma Yusuke:
A former Templar Knight that was excommunicated. The reasons are unknown, but he
doesn’t seem to mind the rumors about
it. In fact, he seems to care little about anything except booze. He is usually
found in bars. He is a master of pole arm weapons and carries a naginata at all
times.
Fighting Principles:
Most of the fighting in this revolves around battles with some various weapon,
hand-to-hand combat, or Ninpou, the ninja arts. The various weapon and
hand-to-hand arts aren’t nearly as
flashy as Ninpou, but they are usually easier to pull off.
Weapons and Hand-to-hand combat: just as it sounds. These techniques rely on the
user’s physical strength, with possible
enhancements by Ki (explained in detail later). While usually not nearly as
devastating as some Ninpou techniques, these moves are usually very easy to use
and can be done with little or no ability in manipulating Ki.
Ninpou: The Ninja arts, these techniques are based off the Five Elements; wood,
fire, water, earth and metal. Inside a human and demons, these elements tend to
be in perfect balance, creating what many call the sixth element, spirit, or Ki.
By manipulating ones Ki a person can create anything from a fireball the size of
a house to control the very weather. Some special people are even able to summon
a creature from another plane of existence with Ki.
now for two trailers I wrote up due to my mind wandering.
Trailer One (Kyou's Trailer)
we see some man sitting on the ground with Kyou's sword pointed at him.
Man: "Who do you think you are? Do you think you're god? Do you think
you're a hero?"
Kyou smiles
"A god?"
Some woman's voice (Maybe Kagome): "When he was five he saw his whole clan
murdered."
Some images of Kyou's family's death, and then the funeral.
Kyou: "Gods don't exist, so I can't be one. And a hero? I am hated by those
both in the light, and those who spend their life in the shadows."
Man (maybe Tsukai): "Kyou is one of the best Karyudo we have at the moment.
He tends to only go after criminals who will be sentenced to death upon their
recapture. No criminal who has faced him in combat ever escaped alive."
Images of Kyou beating several men appear.
Kyou: "A hero is someone people look up to, no one looks up to me. And
heroes don't have the road the have traveled drenched in blood."
Kyou swings his sword, and in that all so typical way he cuts through the
screen, and the kanji for Akki No Issen appears on screen
Trailer Two (General Trailer)
We see several battles flash by, with lots of the main characters appearing.
(note, Kyou's Juzu appear on screen for a few seconds)
Man: "In this land far removed from our own a war is brewing, a war that
will encompass the world. But, as in any war, people of extreme power will
reveal themselves."
Kyou draws his sword, and rushes a man, before being blasted into the ground.
suddenly the dust is cleared as black ki swirls around him, and as it clears we
see Kyou, eyes glowing red, and as he tightens his hand his fingers easily slide
through the concrete.
Ijin is surrounded by enemies, and we see the screen go black, and then a white
swinging path of light streaks across the screen, and then we see Ijin and all
the enemies laying dead.
Yun takes out a man in one blow.
Yusuke spins his polearm through some fancy tricks, and walks away, leaving the
men as they fall to the ground.
Man: "War is coming to this world of samurai, shinobi, and demons. All the
pieces are in place, and one by one they are starting to move."
Woah....that was a lot to read, but well worth it. That sounds like a great
series to me, either on tv or in manga. Both ways would work. I would like to
make a manga of my own, hence the "my manga" thread I posted in the
art and design lounge, and I've planned out the plot. It has some action in it,
but waaaay less than yours, I must say. But that is simply because it is more of
a drama/comedy.
My basic idea is that there is this girl, we'll call her Sara for now, who dies
in an accident at the ripe old age of 16. She goes to heaven and is given/forced
the assignment of joining a special class of guardian angels. This is because
she died young and suddnly and still has a connection with the living. Now Sara
must take "cases" and work her way through the 9 (?) levels of angels.
When she becomes a seraph, she can either stay in the biz, or retire, per se,
and get on with her life...er, afterlife, I guess. She's going to have a lot of
mental strain (that's the drama part) but comedy will always be there to perk
things up. Did I mention that there will be demon fighting and a vampire
boyfriend?!
So, does that sound good?
nice...im actually working on a series also well actually about three. but as
soon as i start writing something for some reason i get an idea for another
series so i start on that one and the other one kinda never gets finished. so i
have a total of seven unfinished works.
Heh.. nice series, HikutsuKyou. Sounds great. I'm writing a series now, it's
actually the remake of the original first copy too. I'll post the information on
here soon.
Warning: Watch out for a long post, just like
the first one. =PP
Not sure if this in the right place, sorry.

An old friend/rival of Ijin, and a most capable Shinobi, Yun was romantically entangled to a girl called Otome, who’s death he always blamed on Ijin, accusing him of attempting to steal her away from him before her end.
Kiyosoma Yusuke:
A former Templar Knight that was excommunicated. The reasons are unknown, but he doesn’t seem to mind the rumors about it. In fact, he seems to care little about anything except booze. He is usually found in bars. He is a master of pole arm weapons and carries a naginata at all times.
Fighting Principles:
Most of the fighting in this revolves around battles with some various weapon, hand-to-hand combat, or Ninpou, the ninja arts. The various weapon and hand-to-hand arts aren’t nearly as flashy as Ninpou, but they are usually easier to pull off.
Weapons and Hand-to-hand combat: just as it sounds. These techniques rely on the user’s physical strength, with possible enhancements by Ki (explained in detail later). While usually not nearly as devastating as some Ninpou techniques, these moves are usually very easy to use and can be done with little or no ability in manipulating Ki.
Ninpou: The Ninja arts, these techniques are based off the Five Elements; wood, fire, water, earth and metal. Inside a human and demons, these elements tend to be in perfect balance, creating what many call the sixth element, spirit, or Ki. By manipulating ones Ki a person can create anything from a fireball the size of a house to control the very weather. Some special people are even able to summon a creature from another plane of existence with Ki.
now for two trailers I wrote up due to my mind wandering.
Trailer One (Kyou's Trailer)
we see some man sitting on the ground with Kyou's sword pointed at him.
Man: "Who do you think you are? Do you think you're god? Do you think you're a hero?"
Kyou smiles
"A god?"
Some woman's voice (Maybe Kagome): "When he was five he saw his whole clan murdered."
Some images of Kyou's family's death, and then the funeral.
Kyou: "Gods don't exist, so I can't be one. And a hero? I am hated by those both in the light, and those who spend their life in the shadows."
Man (maybe Tsukai): "Kyou is one of the best Karyudo we have at the moment. He tends to only go after criminals who will be sentenced to death upon their recapture. No criminal who has faced him in combat ever escaped alive."
Images of Kyou beating several men appear.
Kyou: "A hero is someone people look up to, no one looks up to me. And heroes don't have the road the have traveled drenched in blood."
Kyou swings his sword, and in that all so typical way he cuts through the screen, and the kanji for Akki No Issen appears on screen
Trailer Two (General Trailer)
We see several battles flash by, with lots of the main characters appearing. (note, Kyou's Juzu appear on screen for a few seconds)
Man: "In this land far removed from our own a war is brewing, a war that will encompass the world. But, as in any war, people of extreme power will reveal themselves."
Kyou draws his sword, and rushes a man, before being blasted into the ground. suddenly the dust is cleared as black ki swirls around him, and as it clears we see Kyou, eyes glowing red, and as he tightens his hand his fingers easily slide through the concrete.
Ijin is surrounded by enemies, and we see the screen go black, and then a white swinging path of light streaks across the screen, and then we see Ijin and all the enemies laying dead.
Yun takes out a man in one blow.
Yusuke spins his polearm through some fancy tricks, and walks away, leaving the men as they fall to the ground.
Man: "War is coming to this world of samurai, shinobi, and demons. All the pieces are in place, and one by one they are starting to move."
Woah....that was a lot to read, but well worth it. That sounds like a great series to me, either on tv or in manga. Both ways would work. I would like to make a manga of my own, hence the "my manga" thread I posted in the art and design lounge, and I've planned out the plot. It has some action in it, but waaaay less than yours, I must say. But that is simply because it is more of a drama/comedy.
My basic idea is that there is this girl, we'll call her Sara for now, who dies in an accident at the ripe old age of 16. She goes to heaven and is given/forced the assignment of joining a special class of guardian angels. This is because she died young and suddnly and still has a connection with the living. Now Sara must take "cases" and work her way through the 9 (?) levels of angels. When she becomes a seraph, she can either stay in the biz, or retire, per se, and get on with her life...er, afterlife, I guess. She's going to have a lot of mental strain (that's the drama part) but comedy will always be there to perk things up. Did I mention that there will be demon fighting and a vampire boyfriend?!
So, does that sound good?
sounds very interesting. Comedy makes the world go round.
nice...im actually working on a series also well actually about three. but as soon as i start writing something for some reason i get an idea for another series so i start on that one and the other one kinda never gets finished. so i have a total of seven unfinished works.
Like......that kind of like something............you should take the animax award competition................
heck yea! i love free writing. i would love to write a series sometime, it'll be fun. but kudos to you on a good start! keep going at it! =]
Heh.. nice series, HikutsuKyou. Sounds great. I'm writing a series now, it's actually the remake of the original first copy too. I'll post the information on here soon.
Warning: Watch out for a long post, just like the first one. =PP
