Sorry if it sounds silly but the question just popped out of my head and I want
to know what you guys think. Moving on...
Remember the story of the cake shop manager? You know; the one about him marryig
his own Persocom which, in the end, broke down (and saved him from a car
accident).
If in the future robots like Chobits' pre-Emotion Program Perscoms are
manufactured, do you think a similar incident will happen? What do you think
about humans marrying Persocoms?
My view:
It's alright by me but I might dismiss that person as another Persocom
fanboy/girl. And they're made to look beautiful so two-timing with a Persocom
(as with the husband of Motosuwa's teacher) is also possible.
Well I suppose if they were created in the future then people probably would try
to marry them. I mean to create something that can look, sound, and act like a
person people could probably fall in love with them.
For anyone thinking about marrying an android of any type, I highly recommend
watching (non-anime warning!) Cherry 2000. It's not that good
but it is pretty entertaining. And if you watch it you might rethink your
decision :-)
I wouldn't marry a persocon. But, if it makes someone else happy, so be it. I
would't fault someone for loving or marrying a persocon. Happiness is hard to
come by in life and if that works for you, more power to you.
The idea in chobits (what all the female characters worried about) was persocons
were better then real people because they do what they're told to do and they
don't make so many mistakes like humans. Also they would be completely 100%
loyal so they're very trustworthy. But I don't see how a computer program could
be so fun to talk to and be around so much for your entire life. That might be
appealing to some guys since they don't want to be bothered too much and a
relationship with a persocon would be a lot easier then one with a real person.
Thats my take on it. I personally wouldn't want a romantic relationship with a
machine I think true love can't be programmed no matter what and thats what I
want in this life.

Still not sure on that. It depends on how human-like is the persocon
But are you aware of the fact that you and your persocom will not gonna hav a baby for any instance?
Im sure most of us here wanna have their own baby.
