Hi! I have a suggestion for the groups section. Would there be an option for setting the guestbook or comments as private so that ONLY the members of the group are able to view it?

I do not think so. That would probably require extra coding.

I don't think so. I want to be able to check out what memebrs are writing in their guestbook even if I'm not part of it. And also other members must be able to do so.
