My friend and I will be visiting Japan in April. We will be spending 5 days in Tokyo and 4 in Kyoto. Does anyone have any idea what we should do or any places we should visit in either city. We're open to any suggestions.

1. Go visit the temples! Students go to Kyoto to see the temples; you should too!
2. Buy souvenirs

Yeah, go to Roppongi Hills too. But from what I've heard, everything they sell there is expensive.

In Tokyo, one example: Asakusa(Sensoji Temple) -> Ueno(Ueno Park, Ameya Side Street) -> Akihabara( ) -> Tokyo(big shopping mall, Masakado's grave) -> Imperial Palace -> Tokyo Tower -> Roppongi(hills...?) -> Shibuya(???)...too many to visit in a day?

In Kyoto, there are many many temples...go wherever you like... my fav is Kiyomizu Temple where you can get many kinds of Yatsuhashi.
