hey! i'm another one of the hated newbies, and i just want to know if any of you
good people are in marching band. i could use some more geek friends. ^_^ i play
clarinet myself.

this was going to be a former discussion on marching bands. lmao - which kind of
is in a sense.
yay! people do love me! i was thinking of leaving MT because i can't draw nearly
as well as all you people can... and that whole "highest quality images
only" thing in the noob bible threw me off.... but now i do want to stay,
and meet people, and learn as much as i can to improve myself! on that
note...
CLARINET power!!! we are not geeks, those football players are the geeks! who
would want to wear a lot of padding and run around smacking down other people
over a mutated looking ball that isn't even round? hm... i have a clarinet buddy
who reminds me of you, halcyon. there's a lot of asians in our band, now that i
think about it.... like that crazy flute boy. there's always a crazy flute
boy...
orchestra is cool too... i wish i could play another instrument, or at least
play the one i do play BETTER.

discussion if you want. hm... i had a friend who went to japan last summer and
marched with the japanese! she's says they're a lot more hardcore than our
american band.. go figure. marching band really is the craziest thing ever. no
one in their right mind would think, "hey, let's take a group of people who
usually sit in chairs who play non-rain-resistant instruments, and have them
make shapes on the field while keeping their body alignment perfect! woohoo! i'm
a genius!" but... you gotta love it. my band geekness will only continue to
increase as the years go by...

be hard for me; my section is almost like a family. but my band is going to
hawaii!!!! in two years, so half of me looks forward to it. hehe.
now i'm convinced that the only crazy flute boy is in my band, and all the rest
are all normal. probably true....

I'm in a marching or I was, we got done with our season about 3 month's ago. Anyway I play flue, and it was a whole lot of fun for me this last year.

7am band meetings 4:30 after school rehersals, fundrasing. very proud... (snare
players rule!)
Awesome! I'm in a marching band too! I play the flute! It's great that there's other band people on this site!
