Well Valentines is nearing and things come into perspective as the season of
love comes closer. I am appart from my girlfriend during valentines
unfortunately and miss her dearly. I want to say that I love her. I feel that I
do, but love is such an abstract term that it is hard to determine what makes
one person love another. What are your thoughts on the meaning of the word love?
For me, I believe wholeheartedly that when you love someone that you do
everything you can to support them in anything they do. Love is never saying the
other is perfect nor imperfect, rather it is you helping the other acheive
greatness. That is what love means to me.
love is a powerful emotion, its a deep rooted connection to someone special. u
see past the flaws u only see the perfection of the one u love. i know how it
is to be in love. knowing that your special someone is always thinking of you.
me and my girlfriend are about 4000 miles away but i make sure to send her
flowers and stuff and make sure u always let that special someone know how much
u care. ^_^ good luck to ya
love is like a nightmare. It's like a dream, where you can feel every pain. love
is an exciting thing. when you're in love, it's like you're alive, it's like a
drug, a fatal drug. you can't breathe without it once you've felt it. it is more
deep than the center of the earth, it's more painful than when one peals your
skin off you, it gives you more adrenaline than the momoents before yuor death
will give tou, it's more tireing then after swiming to death, yet it's more
beutiful than paradise itself. love is everithing worth living for. love is the
thing that increases your interest in even the smalllest thing on earth, as long
as you have your loved one by you.
and then, love is the thing that drives you insane, kills you, little by little,
exhausts you, leaves yuo emply inside, vide, ueless...
love gives you wings, or it can take them away from you.
Love is something that is shared with everyone. You can love your family, love
your friends, love your partner, and love your pets and possesions. It spreads.
You can't stop it.
hmm... I don't think I understand love that much... I've thought I've ever felt
love twice within my life, but... until now I'm not sure enought, is that
love?
love...isn't that some kinda of cake or pastry XP
the one that you give to some one you really like
and has all sorta of mysterious secret ingredients
and vry difficult to make whereas one simple error or mistake
can turn the whole thing into a disaster....yea love is a cake XP

Do you really need a season for love? I think you should show love and affection
everyday of your life, to the ones that you think deserve it... Love is an
emotion, a strong one at that. It may change the way you behave or even change
you completely. However it is just another one of those built-in programs we
humans come with.

You dont need a season for love.. it is just that february is generally thought
of in that sence because of valentines day. The main reason I brought this topic
up was i have had some good and bad experiences in the past with other
relationships. This one seems to be diffrent however. Even though we are
seperated during this holiday, i feel that we are still very close. I merely
wanted to hear other peoples opinions on what defines love.
But on another subject.... what is the greatest valentines day present you have
given someone or someone has given you?
For me... i gave my girl a star... (named a star after them) we went to a
romantic dinner.. had a good time.. went to an observatory and surprised her
with her gift there.. went to see the star .. and later just sat outside star
gazing.

I agree wiht you Divinelight. Love just comes and goes. Theres no controlling
it.
Well I don't think love is such an abstract, hard to understand idea as most
people make it out to be. Simply you have to be able to identify it and what
type of love it is.
Personally my favorite type of love is easily definable but not easily achieved,
and can be misunderstood. I've said this before but quiet simply it is: The
giving of self for the good of the beloved unconditionally.
Now this does not mean doing anything and everything, nor does it mean that its
always nice. But it is simply doing what is really best, and giving yourself for
that, no matter what the circumstances and no matter what the other person does.
Love can't really be explained.... but one thing is for sure, you don't need to
have any reason to love someone :P its the magic of it.........

Can't explain what the word "love" might mean for me but from as I see its role in society it's many times a simple excuse for sexual intercourse.
