Well this is a website that an American put up and he writes editorial about his life in Japan as an English teacher. I am myself was shocked to hear about "kancho" but then again i think anyone would be. I hope you enjoy.

omfg. I only read the first one, "my kids are perverted". I already can't stop laughing. It's freaking hilarious.

Hmm... after reading that.. I want to go to japan even more!
I will become an Elite Kancho Assassin! ^__^

I guess that person liked America more but I will prefer Japan all the time.

Bwaha~ zomg. *bookmark* Thanks for sharing this! It's great. XD
"Ah, so one might say you are the cows worst enemy." *sniggers~<3* Hilarious!

Man this scary hilarious stuff! I never really knew that the Japanese were that scary and this is definitely a side I've never ever heard of. Makes me want to think twice about going over there. XD

Interesting stuff o_0
Don't think I'd have the patience and tolerance for that kind of school ~_~
Then again I'm not black so they wouldn't be trying to grab me down there at least.

Lol, I don't have time to read them all now but I'm bookmarking the page to read later, that is excellent ^^ .

lol I do hope its just that school or a few in a region =p
maybe they are over exposed to anime... all the perverted ones~~
here a lot of us.. maybe a quarter of the guys and half the girls don't know whats wet dre.. some don't know whats mastu.... hope its clean enough for this lol

You're a sick sick man/woman MadWiz
*shakes head*

iits rather funny I'd say. XD
but I guess that's just their culture. every country right?
though Japan's kid may been a lil bit too ecchi >_>

Love it! Thing is... all of it is true. I teach kids the same age and they are NOT shy about asking personal things. I've been ask everything from my bra size, if I've kissed a Japanese man, how many boyfriend's I've had, if I've had sex with a Japanese man, and more recently, what me and a particular teacher have planned for Valentine's Day (even through we aren't dating...). Mostly the girls ask me these questions. These questions seem totally acceptable in Japanese society. Yes, it happens everywhere in Japan

Elementary school kids are just as bad, but they incorporate touching. I have never been kancho-ed (almost did though!) but I have had my chest grabbed/patted/rubbed, and had my butt spanked. Of course, they think it's fine and cute. Ah, the joys of working with kids. ;)

Sexual harassment FROM pre-teens o_0
Still disturbing OX

They don't think it's harassment, though. They get the hint when you tell them to stop it, though.

Meh, if they did that to me, I'd be kanchoing them with a baseball bat. >_>
I'm sensitive about that kind of stuff (physically too) >_<

Understandable! Many are. I don't allow kancho-ing, and I made that perfectly clear to them. They are good kids, despite being a lot more open about that sort of thing than US kids...

Guahahaha!! Man... and I thought the students in my previous class were 'disturbed' :D Of course, I seem to be a magnet for similiar things. I bet if I went to Japan as an English teacher like him, I'd be in the same scenario ^_^' Man, it's almost worth it just to see them doing it haha :D *Okay, maybe that's a bit too much*

The kids are just so friendly! When you are *the* foreigner in the town (like I am...) you get a lot of attention. Like it or not, it's what happens. To the kids, you may be the only foreigner they interact with, so they think you are the coolest and are really curious about you.

i don't have pics of the kids doing anything bad, but I have some pics of them. If you want the link to my photo album, drop me note.

I was expecting the japanese to be pretty strict and disciplinary towards their children. Is it like this throughout all of Japan's junior high schools?

The kids do have pretty strict schedules. A lot of studying, juku, club activities... But when they have free time, they let it all out. Some schools are more strict than others, but my school seems pretty laid back. From talking to others, it seems that, as long as the kids arent hurting themselves or anyone and aren't violating major rules of the school, they are allowed to do what they want. In fact, I think the teachers think it increases interaction between the students and teachers. It's like one big family sometimes. Obviously, it's not right to feel harassed, but as I said, it seems to be more acceptable in Japanese society especially among kids, to ask such questions. I'm sure that if I complained, they would be stopped, but it doesn't bug me.

Well I suppose in a society where selling worn schoolgirl panties is a way to make money, this kind of behavior would seem more acceptable. It sounds like they're more interested in sex than love though -_- Maybe I'm too old-fashioned? ~_~

They have a weird idea of what love is, which seems to be based on dramas and movies. Sex is prevalent, primarily in magazine form. So, I think that kids at a younger age are exposed to the body (especially female body) as a sexual, or atleast beautifyl and desirable, object.

Something about seeing a body as a sexual object just makes me shake my head. Sounds like the making of a rapist or abusive husband :\

It does, but I've noticed that when they get older, they are very shy about such things. For example, my 20-something year old friends (and especially the guys!!) are VERY shy about dating and relationships. I have no idea why; it is something that will continue to baffle me. Maybe because it's still frowned upon to be seen holding hands in public?

Kids can get away with a lot. The generally belief is that childhood is the most fun a person can have in their life, because as they get older, they have responsibilities. So, there seems to be little disipline. In fact, when kids start going to school, it becomes the teachers' responsibility to look after them and give them guidence.

It's frowned upon to be seen holding hands in public, but there are kids groping teachers and grabbing groins? o_0

Edit: forgot the question mark -_-
