I am an artist of sorts (or, rather, trying), and I have been posting my
pictures for a couple of weeks. I have recently posted a picture of a character,
that just got deleted for being inapropriate. She was fully clothed, and had no
skin showing on the inapropriate areas, such as the genitals and nipples, and
her pose or actions weren't even slightly sexual. However, she was suffering
from cold weather effects, in the chest,
I am willing to change this, I just wanted to clarify if the cold weather
effects are against the rules. I wish I could show the picture in this thread,
but I don't wanna break the rules.
It could also be because of the fact that she is just a line drawing, and there
is no shading to differentiate between different areas. Maybe it looks like she
is nude (though it doesn't to me)... her clothes are form fitting.
I have another picture that is rather riske, here: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/74452/
or another: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/75010/
These are my more popular pictures, and my oldest submissions, and I realize
that posting them here may leave them open to deletion, but I am willing to do
what it takes to be a helpful member.
There are lots of pictures posted in this site that are rather riske, even
though there is no nudity, and lots of female scans that suffer from the cold
weather effects. Some are even posted by the Mods, and this makes for confusion,
on my end.
If you read the policy and you click on the pornography definition link, it does
include the portrayal of women as sexual objects or meant to provoke sexual
arousal. If you look at your art, although well drawn, with clothed rippod on
women with breasts perky and "cold weather effects" while panting and
in unusual poses, I'd classify that as a violation of policy.
If you do happen to see any more art, not just your own, that is a violation of
the policy, please report it and we'll handle it.
Thanks for the post though, we don't get many members asking for clarification
in a respectful way.
If I hate something, it is hypocrisy, and this answer is full of it to the max.
I don't have much of a problem with your policies, but with double standard I
have.
It can't be seen currently, but sicne that goes for 90% of the older pics on
this page, I think it's still there in some way. Anyway, that pic is un-erotic
or non-pornographic only in that the person wears a swimsuit, everything else
disobeys your rules gravely, but even a moderator (if I understood it right) saw
it, and praised it... what else am I to believe, but that subjectivity rules
here? It's natural, it's human, alright, but don't look down on people who get
angry like me about double morality that they get harmed from.
Do different people check different areas, or why do some slightly nude pictures
get deleted so quickly while others prevail for many months?
I know the official definition of pornography too, and that way of interpreting
the "sexual tools" part is just outside of what is usually understood
under this.. A feministic organisation would send this page to hell after seeing
just 5 random pics anyway, so why bother with such small stuff....?
Anyway, there are other pics here, of nipples "hidden" behind quite
transparent cloths and the like...
But one thing truly interests me: Why do you have problems with nipples, but not
with panty shots that show quite some detail and form? Along goes a very twisted
and sexist image of women, as the Japanese tend to have, yet this is totally
allowed and wanted here... I don't know which culturistic defect to blame for
this, but I sure am of the opinion that this is against the western definition
of what is sound to publically show and what not. And if not by the western
definition, by what are we going to decide this then?
To me ecchi is more sexist than many western conceptions of eroticness... it
seems some oversee this intentionally, and accept all this panty shooting and
young-blushed-girl pics as examples of innocence itself, even though the imply
the direct contrary.
I could rant on so much longer, but now that this pic of RoninDude got deleted I
was just too annoyed.
BTW I only showed the above pic, because I find it disgusting myself (even
though I like the character a lot), the others though that have been
"overseen" by your staff shall not be discovered this easily without a
solvation of this supposed issue of hypocrisy.

First off, without even seeing the picture he was talking about, how can you
claim hypocrisy? Yeah, exactly. Thanks for your time, but no. We are not
hypocrites in anyway, thought it was a nice attempt at disrespecting moderators.
But that's all cool, we get it a lot. There, basically all of your post is
null and void.
There is a different between panty-shots and nipple-age. Nipple-age comes
closer to actually showing skin than any panty-shot that we accept here on MT.
If you look at any panty-shot on this site, they're all in perfectly white
panties-- no type of skin showing-- and an indentation of the labia does NOT
count. With nipple shots, you can usually see the pink showing through them.
And Nuri has informed me that the picture that was deleted had a woman in a
completely degrading pose with nipples so hard, they could cut glass. And most
likely, it probably couldn't be used anyway in a wallpaper.
And as always, if you have a problem with a picture or a scan... report IT! And
stop complaining. =D
To me it still seems a matter of taste alone, and this you also indicated here
and there... but so at least it's been settled that things can't be changed (eh,
I'm not such a greenhorn as to actually expect something, well I did except a
harsher answer than this, so it's ok, and to actually get an answer is a
beginning after all)
Still I wonder why swollen labia are more ok than Nipples.. all beating around
the bush can't change the fact that it's a matter of primary and secondary
sexual organ, and that nipples are just something ordinary by human standards
whereas a vagina has only one use worth of displaying. (Misunderstandings shall
be dispersed by compassion for me not speaking english as my mother
tongue)
Without trying to offend the staff (honestly, I'm mature enough not to do it
just for the sake of pissing someone off on the other side of the globe), from
what I know, Americans are said to have a twisted relationship with breasts in
difference to Europeans in general... Would you be willing to admit that this
does play a role in your judgement, and that by human nature and tradition of
morals this alone cannot be explained?
I rather see this as a possible seperate discussion.
Uhm....
1) I am european
2) As I said if you see images with splitted labias report them and they will be
deleted., That pic is unreachable now so I have no idea of how you can see it

>_>
Well my post took time to write, so you hadn't written yet... and do you then
already imply that you agree that the area between the legs is generally a less
critical area than the upper area?
I "reported" this one because I didn't like it, but hardly anything of
all this offends me... I don't want to spoil other people's uploads after all,
just because some of my own stuff got deleted...
So this is just about the principle of how harshly self-made art seems observed
in difference to scans. From the impression I got, no pic escaped the watch of
the mods ever since I posted here, but a pic like the one I'm
"complaining" about got past it so easily. This is at most what
disturbs me.
Well, I gave Keltosh My Gallery link, because there are most likely more
inapropriate images, therein. If any other Mods wanna judge it, here it is: http://ronindude.minitokyo.net/gallery/
I wanna post all of my drawings, but some of it is of a mature content (battle
violence and partial nudity, but not together!). Most of it, actually. I guess
my aproatch is something like a cross between the manga, "Blade of the
immortal", and some of Shirow's, less disturbing work. That's what I am
going for, anyways. I mostly reach for an older audience.
I understand now that minitokyo has some rather young members that frequent the
galleries, and I don't want to be responsible for posting inapropriate material.
But I do draw these things, and want to share them for critique. So far,
Minitokyo is the best site for a good, well rounded critique, that I have found.
I can and have prospered much from the helpful comments of the many members
here.
However, now I have a dilema, since I can't (and wont) post anything that
contains too much gore, ecchi content, or even detail in curtain areas of the
body. These things I draw often, and the detail on the human figure, both male
and female, will undoubtedly get more vivid as I get better. This causes a
conflict in me, since most everything in anime/manga (or the entertainment
field) has at least a little bit of sex appeal, weather in the characters'
costumes, or little things that they say or do. This is simple marketing, and a
ploy to attract the natural part of the human being. So, I will have to limit
myself a bit, especially where it applies to detailing curtain parts of my
pictures, like breasts and such.
i hope that this doesn't come accross as compaining, I am more than willing to
conform to the rules. I just wanted to explain myself, and ask if anyone knows
of any sites that allow "R rated" subject matter, so that I can get
revues, and continue to grow as an artist. By "R rated", I do not mean
pornography, or hentai, by any means, but just stuff that interests a mature
audience.
I hope I explained this well...
So in short, I have learned about posting here:
*that I must draw breasts that are rounded off, with no nipples, even
under clothing (mostly due to the fact I find it impossible not to over
enphisize *blush*).
*that I should probably stay away from panty-shots, knowing my
preference to over detail *double blush*.
So, there's my gallery, have at me, and be fierce! *ouch*
