Besides Tales of Symphonia, I was obessed with Tales of Phantasia. The only
Tales game that has been on three different systems, though it has yet to grace
the Stateside because Namco is too stupid to make a smart marketing move.
I greatly enjoyed Tales of Destiny and Eternia, but both games just annoyed the
hell out of me with certain aspects (mainly Eternia), but overall I just LOVE the tales series and I eargly anticipate
that hopefully in the future they will being ToP to the states.
EDIT - Nuri reminded me of ToD2 for the PS2 (I was greatly looking foward to
this game) I forgot about it cause its another game that Namco was too stupid to
bring over to the states. I think Namco is having a brain defect or
something. I, as well, look greatly foward to Tales of Rebirth and many more
Tales games in the future (Provided they bring more of them over to the states).

For gameplay, Tales of Destiny 2 (Japanese title - not the renamed Tales of
Eternia) is the best. Tales of Eternia is the worst. I have a serious problem
when you have to beat the last boss with a single combo move while they deal
9999 damage to the party.
I like the characters in both Tales of Eternia and Tales of Destiny 2. Tales of
Destiny and Tales of Symphonia are good, and I haven't played Tales of Phantasia
yet. I am eagerly awaiting Tales of Rebirth.

I have only playyed Tales of Phantasia for the SNES but it is one of my favourite games ever
