I read all the time. I just recently finished an excellent fantasy novel called
Eragon by Christopher Paolini. What amazes me is the author was only 15 when he
wrote it. Currently I'm reading The Pillars of Creation by Terry Goodkind. Good
thick book, over 700 pages.
I loved that series by Terry Goodkind and the Pillars of Creation is definately
a good one.... I think there is one other book after it.....that is if I
remember correctly.
I'm currently reading the courtship of Princess Leia..... I ran out of books, so
my friend Kalli lent me one...
Have you read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan?
I hear The Da Vinci Code is supposed to be excellent. Though it's only available
in hardback right now and I can't afford $20+ for a book at the moment.
Another really good series is the Redwall series by Brian Jaques. I have the
whole set except for the new one thats just come out. I think there's more than
15 books.
Watership Down by Richard Adams is also really good. At first I was thinking
that since it's about a renegade group of rabbits that it would be a childrens
book, but it kept getting darker, and theres a fair amount of violence in it.
Well the Wheel of Time series is awesome.... well that is if you like long
series... it currently has 10 books plus a prequel and its still not finished!
However, it is excellent - never a boring moment.
The Da Vinci Code is awesome! I loved it! However, I would suggest reading
Angels and Demons first. Its the first in the series (the Da Vinci Code being
the 2nd) plus its in paperback.
hmmm... I was never able to get into the Redwall series.... the rats of Nymh
ruined me on mice books.... I just couldn't see how it could get any
better.
Another good series is the Dragonbone Chair..... its by.... ummm... can't
remember. It has 3 books (however one is split up into 2 volumes). Great
story.... I recently just reread it.
If you can get your hands on a copy, and are into futuristic stuff, Invasion
America and Invasion America: On the Run both by Christie Golden are really
good. Though the books are both long out of print and you'd have to look in a
used book store for them. The first is the book version of an old animated
series that ran once on the WB, about aliens that look almost identical to
humans coming to invade the planet in secret. The second is actually a prequal,
but it doesn't matter in which order you read them.
Rats of Nymh is boring compared to some of the Redwall books i think. The
badgers in the series are all awesome.
I once started reading a book my mom borrowed from a friend called A Child
Called It. Based on the true story of a young boy who was abused by his mother.
Very sad, but at the same time the kind of book you don't want to put down. I
can't remember the author though.
My favourite author is David Eddings.... mostly because his Belgariad series was
the first fantasy I ever read. Its filled with wizards and magic and a plot that
never leaves you bored.....
Heh, the Courtship of Princess Leia was alright. My
personal Star Wars favs are the X-Wing series. Especially the ones by Allston.
:P Timothy Zahn is pretty good, tho'.
Tales of the Otori trillogy by Lian Hearn is an intriguing warlords and ninjas
type of fantasy tale.
My favourite author is Markus Zusak, relatively new, I think. The stories are
very real and characters down to earth. Prose is kind of rough and poetic.
Emotional in a sideways way. I
love it.
I already read The DaVinci Code. It was excellent! Loved it!
The last two books I've read were The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, and the
latest Harry Potter book. I soooo need to go book shopping when my finals are
over...
I read a lot but most of the books I read a French. I like to read real stories
about children that were abused or that are psychopaths. I also like to read any
books from Steven King.
I love to read, but I have to be in the mood for the type of book i am reading.
I enjoy my mangas, but I also read fantasy books by Piers Anthony (Xanth
series), I love the Sword and the Sorceress anthologies and occasionally
romance.
Seems like most of you like to read fantasy books. I like hard sci-fi myself.
Stuff from Greg Bear, Stephen Baxter, etc. I do enjoy a good fantasy novel
every once in a while though.
What do you read?
Read any good books lately?
If so what type of book?
Come on people! Honestly, don't you read?

I 'd suggest go and read The trilogy of the World (3 books) of Philip Poulman.
hmmm..... sounds interesting.... I will have to look it up. I'm going to the library today!!! Mostly for manga, but I can pick up a few other books..
I like reading books about child abuse & murder...I'm such a morbid person...^^;
I already read The DaVinci Code. It was excellent! Loved it!
The last two books I've read were The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, and the latest Harry Potter book. I soooo need to go book shopping when my finals are over...
The Redwall's series, Harry Potter serie, Artemis Fowl, the Unfortunate Events, and HTML codes for dummies.
hehe.... I need to read that last one.....
I read a lot but most of the books I read a French. I like to read real stories about children that were abused or that are psychopaths. I also like to read any books from Steven King.
really? I haven't ever read any of Steven King's books - mostly because his movies have always had stupid endings.... are the books all that good?
Kings books rule, he's a wonderfull author, the movies made from the books all suck, and I've seen a couple, so I would know
I personally like Raymond E. Feist's books. He's a true master of fantasy
I read message boards :P
long time since i've read a book that's not a manga....it was "The four swords" or something like that.
I love to read, but I have to be in the mood for the type of book i am reading. I enjoy my mangas, but I also read fantasy books by Piers Anthony (Xanth series), I love the Sword and the Sorceress anthologies and occasionally romance.
Hmmm i havent read lately but i wana read something called Cut =I anyone read that before? is it good? ^^;?
