ive been thinking... and im pretty sure everyone knows about dragonball and all
the other subsequent series after that..... and that it is one of the LONGEST
anime series ever...
does anyone get the feeling that Naruto anime is getting a bit long and scenes
are getting stretched out too much [i.e. 3+ episodes for 1 battle] ?? Do you
agree?? Why and why not??

did ya read the Manga???If you do you can notice they mack the anime in 3 or 4
chater from the manga and now the chapter is in 254Ep !!I know all ready that
happend in Ep 129 and 130 and 131 to from the Manga I dont
think it will be like DB and also the DB hat a lot of manga!!But what ever
happend if Naruto hab a longest than DB!! I will reall happy!!!I have all Naruto
Ep 01-129 and Manga 01-254vol and i still load it forward

no way, naruto will never be as predictable and repetetive as DB. DB was simply
about a new opponent, new form, new form again...kick his ass..repeat process.
Naruto has yet to have 2 identical battles. Plus something new is constantly
being revealed about naruto and its story line. DBZ was just about...balls..lol,
with stars on them O.o

Jeez, everyone seems to have ignored this part of your post. I dont' think
Naruto will be like Dragonball in that people will keep getting stronger until
OMG I AM level infinite AND ONE!!!111oneoneeleven!1 However, I do think that
Naruto is becoming like Dragonball in that the author seems to like stretching
things out unnecessarily. Especially later in episodes that the anime hasn't
caught up with yet.

Detective Conan is over 300 eppys long! that's pretty LONG RIGHT?

The comparison between Naruto and DBZ seems to be inevitable, it seems to arise
everywhere, specially at this point of the story, with the whole seals power-up
and stuff.

I was surprised when some fights were stretched for three or more episodes, but
I really hope that Naruto doesn't become another DBZ.
hum... like most people answered this thread said, i don't think Naruto
resembles DB that much... actually i'd say it's quite the opposite... as
LenaPriss said, the battles last over a few chapters in the manga, and they
weren't stretched by that much in the anime, i mean, 3 episodes for one battle
isn't so bad... DBZ could go up to 10 eps if not more for one battle... plus the
hits were repeated again and again, whereas in Naruto, they don't just hit, they
use seals and so on... makes the battle more interesting...
and it's true that in Naruto, there are still a lot of mysteries to be solved,
secrets to be revealed... unlike DB where everything is revealed from the
start... the main focus of DB was on battles, on physical strength... the main
focus of Naruto is on his quest to become stronger and eventually to become
Hokage, in other words, the focus is on his personal growth, and on his
achievements, as well as those of his friends...
i must admit i'm not a huge fan of the anime, i prefer the manga, because well,
it's the original, and i don't especially like episode fillers, but i also
understand they are sometimes necessary to leave time to the manga series to
develop...

but anyways..... i personally reali like naruto myself.... and i like the anime

wow~!!] but then.. in the next 2 chapters, it repeated again with a "power
up" ie sasuke on level 2 and naruto using kyuubi's chakra..... that really
reminded me of db..... for me... thats 2nd battle was a let down.... i didnt
find it original enough.... especially after all that build up and the major
cliff-hanger from before
also.... naruto as it is now.... there is so much more development that could
occur in terms of plot and charaters...... so personally.... i think its going
to be longer than DB's 42 volumes... and might end up being 50+ volumes.... and
with that in mind.....
there IS a high possibility that it might end up like db.... god forbid of
course......

Haha... I was thinking the same thing! The fight scenes (where they stand there
and talk for the whole episode) are becoming more common. But there is one thing
that Naruto has that's different from dbz... it has themes and life lessons and
stuff. Naruto couldn't go on without those, so it not in everything, it is
different from DBZ in that fact.
(And don't anybody say DBZ has deep life lessons )

Naruto is not turning into a DB-like show. That's for sure, if you follow the
manga.
I agree though that the current episodes are at a rather "plain
level". Wait until the ultimate show-down between Naruto and Sasuke is
finished, and the next stage begins. Things will pick up again from that
point.
