What kind of anime setting is people's favourite? The place/environment and time. Ancient? Modern? Fantasy? Any opinions?

i have seen good anime in both modern settings and medieval ones so i'll go with those two

Ancient Japan or the future.

That library in Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito. That was an awesome place.

Anywhere... anytime... as long as the storyline and the characters are great!!!

I think I've seen this thread from somewhere...never mind!
I don't care, as long as the storyline, characters and plots fits the setting.

I like fantasy stuffs... ^___^

Really?! Ehem... ladies and gentlemen, if this thread has ever existed in the forum, I'm very-very sorry. Again, sorry! ( All of the sudden, I feel like I'm becoming more like souma ritsu...)

i agree. the charas+story are much more important... but i like fantasy. ^^;;

Maybe a little bit more of description can be inspiring! Anyone can give examples of anime that have your fav. setting? ThanQ!

i agree... tho i DO like historical (ie: kenshin and samurai deeper kyo), and modern setting (ie: fruits basket, mai hime, bleach)...

i like all as long as the chara and story fit very good together !

I really like animes immersed in nature/small town atmosphere. Like Kokoro's Library, Princess Tutu, A Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar, or Kiki's Delivery Service. I like a really peacful setting. I watch anime to unwind, so all that intense stuff just doesn't do it for me.
