i agree with u, xenogears is the best mecha 4ever!!!

I really love the design on macross zero too, but that is cause the animation is
sick. Now if only they remake macross plus with zero animation, that would
own.
1) xenogears was designed by katoki hajime one of his earlier jobs
2) there are lots of great designers around, just to name a few, the designs
from front mission, zone of the enders 2, specially the great revission of
the vic vipers.
on recent anime, i'd say the prize goes black ogre from dendoh.

nope evas are not mechas they are giant clones, dressed in armor, i consider
something mecha as oposed to someone with an artifical limbm when they have 50%
or more mechanical parts.
evas are according officia data 30% mechanical, they only have the plug, and
the cockpit, the other is a mere armor,

Do You Know Hajime is desainer of Endless waltz Wing Gundam Custom
He Can Make Wing, Deathscythe and so on 750% more cool than in TV series

Gundam SEED has some nice mechs, Xenogears is definately there as well. The Eva's are unique in their own little way.

Well, I suppose Evangelion Unit 01, but also, I like the Battletech Vulture (Mechwarrior 4), even if it's rather small and slow by comparison.

Still Mobile Suit Gundam. The original dsigns of Gundams are still maintained today like the distinct feature of a crown and a red chin.

I thought mecha was just the general 'giant robot that kick people's a**'. Lol. So thats why eva =/= mecha...
i like Gundam Seed and Gundam Wing mecha design, i don't like other gundam series design

Zinbu (or somthing like that) from Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure. I think it is the best.
