seriously, My PowerBook does have this problem too. With the non-widescreen
resolutions being displayed, well, strangely. It crops it just in the wrong
spot usually, (defaulting... no, that's the only choice, Centered or center
tile-ing).
I don't think MT supports uploads of versions of the same wallpaper, so I think
you're at the mercy of the wallers to post the widescreen ones on their
site...

Ah, I was thinking more on the lines of desktops. Now that you mention it, many
laptops do have widescreens these days. But most people have desktops and
therefore the normal size ratio.
I also suspect that most people create wallpapers using desktop computers for
ease of use so they're generally not widescreen.

doesnt include 1680x1050, which is my computer's new setting. Any way that it

Wide-screen is the in thing for computers. When I got my new comp, all of them
had widescreens. Then again, this is Japan. My mom got a laptop and hers was
widescree too, and she got that one in the US. Most laptops are widescreen now.

trends, but anyways the vast majority of people are still using the old monitors
and aspect ratios so it would see to be the best to make it normal ratio. If my
duel screens could support wide backgrounds then i would be more inclinded to
make a wide screen one.

widescreen resolutions do exist? I, for one, will probably be exclusively doing
widescreen wallpapers from now on.

the 4:3 ratio. I have seen alots laptops/desktop monitors with wide screens, but
I only know one person who uses a wide screen.

I would have to agree with you there Ryuji not everyone is rich to get a new
computer monitor everytime something comes out. Like I was explaining to a
friend fo mine who still dose her layouts in 800x600 formats its not going to
hurt the 1024 people to use the layout. There fore it won't hurt aony

abillity to strech to your screen rex so Not really a big problem
Actually, before I got my new comp, I had a widescreen wallpaper on my desktop

sometimes the text gets cut off. That is why I usually don't use text on my
current wide screen walls.

Someone just pointed out the new resolutions that were added. At one time you could not add widescreen diamentions, but perhaps you can.

My laptop have 1440x900 resolution, I've converted some regular wallpapers to widescreen myself, but I'm not very good at creating my own...
