This question just randomly popped into my head while i was arguing with my
parents about how hard i want....what i want to strive to be.....about how you
should be the best you can be. I was wondering, if nobody is perfect, then how
do u define perfectionism? then that made me think about ppl in general. If
nobody is the same, then where is the norm?
Perfection is not a goal, it is a journey. Perfection can never be achieved,
except perhaps in the eye of the beholder. Too many people think of perfection
as a goal, and yet they also often say its impossible. Baseline
logic..;)
As far as what 'normal' is, its usually the majority opinion of what an accepted
set of behaviors and attitudes is. And, I think we can all safely agree based on
American television, the majority opinion is NOT one to listen to ;0
There is no such thing as perfection when it comes to human beings. There are
clicks or norms(aspects of your way of life) that people generally follow in a
society but not always. Besides, what's normal in culture is not in another.
"Normal" is just a state of opinion.
A pretty interesting Topic if you ask me. Altho Perfection is in this case is a
bit to much.
There isnt really a perfect in this case since human were made to be imperfect
to began with. But i suppose the closest thing to perfect is just doing your
best. Normal? There really isnt a definetion of normal.
Normaly just depends on what the current trend is and is likely to change in a
split second. The mob is fickle after all
Perfection is unatainable but still good to set as an ultimate target in my
opinion. So long as you don't mind that you won't make it.
depends on each person's point of view. perfect, in my opinion, is impossible
for mortals, but not so for God. it's a nice goal though. normal is whatever you
think is normal. for instance, I think my chosen wardrobe -- baggy pants, black
band shirts, hoodies -- is normal. my obsession with AFI, anime, horseracing and
soccer *cough*andmycomputer*cough* is normal. to others it's not. *shrug* I
don't really care what others think...unless I'm playing soccer, then I do care.

This boggles me....hope you can make sense of it.

The terms perfection and normal have no set value, as they are solely based on the perception of any given person.

Perfectionism is the desire to remove all possilbe flaws. Carried to the extreme it becomes a huge problem.
Normal is one's desire for the status quo, to conform to the majority, to fit in so as not to be singled out.

"Normal"...is what the masses are like at the time.
"Perfection"...hm. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder, so...it can't truly exist.
