Probably a strage question but i just wanted to see what other people think

I dunno why, but i get tired of "ordinary" parties where people drink
and stuff....
I'm more into LAN parties (Computer parties for those who don't know =P) mainly
the reason is that it doesn't cost as much money as if you were to drink, and it
last longer too, and you also have a greater change to even remember what
happened
Sure it's fun to drink and all that... but I just don't think it's worth it....
Anyway what do you people think ? o_O

In France, I saw an internet cafe owner closed shop early so they can have a
mass lan party. I think Lan parties are much better because they have a little
more point to them than simply to get wasted with alcohol. And I don't drink.
ok, WOAH....i have a different opinion(which is all this is...an opinion) i
voted "drinking party"...but i just call them parties...computers and
parties just dont belong in the same sentence to me...a computer party would
feel like im in school or something...but if you're really into computers..i can
see how that'd be fun the
point of parties in general is to escape, and be around folks that you dont get
to see everyday, to meet new people and relax...and watch the occasional
fight....no offense but a LAN party just seems boring to me XP

hardly seen anyone do it, to all those lan parties i've been to
and i really thought that drinking parties would be way over lan parties o_o;
i have no idea what a LAN party is... a party involving computers..? its such a
foreign concept to me. so i guess drinking party. but not the kind where
everyone's getting wasted
It's all a question of how you define a drinking party. When I just have a drink
with my friends and we just have some good discussions it certainly seemes more
fun than playing all day and not getting any sleep, while stuffing myself with
pizza ^^
There are many ways to spend a nice evening, like going to some moody bar or
inventing caraoke anew, and not just get wasted and try to enjoy being
completely out of control.
Oh believe me, it's funny as hell to watch people who are drunk try, and I mean
try, to play CS. Or Halo-- or any game for that matter. Add being drunk to
that time of the night when you're so tired that you laugh at everything and
you'll have a good party.
Well, LAN parties definitelly are better than the "regular"
drink-chat-go to the floor parties. Also, if you are thirsty, you can also
always drink a bit while playing, chat a bunch and maybe insult your LAN enemies
in a very comfy and joyful manner than when having just alcohol ^_^
LAN party! I'd never drink anyway, and at the last LAN party I was at (the only
one that I was EVER at), I owned! Being in a room full of gamers just like me,
rocking out with Call of Duty.....that's the life!

I'd choose a LAN party because I don't drink. Instead of getting wasted on alcohol I'd rather get my eyes wasted on the eye candy of video games.

And I prefer LAN parties. Soda appeals to me far more than alcohol does and yes, I AM old enough to buy and drink alcohol.
