Don't use IE

Hardware, Software & Internet

I was warn by my brother not to use internet explorer. Should I worried? The reason why is that there are 2 unpatched holes in internet explorer that are being used to take control of users computers. Right now I'm using Mozilla. It's better cause' I could view pages faster. I really don't know if MSN is effected too. But, I just hope microsoft fixed those patches.

wouldn't microsoft have update patches for them? >_>

eww ie XD

i use opera. tho i do also have firefox

i cant use ie now anyway. all the extras and stuff you get in opera are just too damn good

Opera's interface was kinda hard to get used to at first... Too many years of IE. Whats Foxfire like anyways?

Is it true that mozilla has spyware? Also do you have to uninstall IE so you won't get hacked?

waiting for this answer also ;p
Another reason not to use IE is bcuz...saving images from MT has probs :P

I don't think Mozilla has spyware. But, if you have a spyware program that would scan your computer it would be safe. I don't think you need uninstall IE. Just wait until microsoft fix the problems. They eventually had to do it.

You don't have to uninstall IE. Mozilla Firefox Opera are pretty good non Microsoft browsers. But you can just wait for the MS patch and that should fix it. Having a decent anti spyware program also keeps IE users clean: SpyBot Search & Destroy; Adaware; Google Popup blocker; etc.

You shouldn't worry too much about people hacking into you unless you give them your IP address (visit certain aka questionnable websites, which can log your IP or have something valuable as a hacking target). Then the law of probability should come into effect and help you out.

If you still insist on using IE, just download all the available patches. Or just use Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, Neoplanet...

Mozilla firefox all the way!! And btw it is an open source! ALSO it doesn't have spywares.. geez what are you EVEN thinking???

Some web pages still looks bad when Mozilla is used. To view all the webpages in a rite ay, just use IE.

All webservers log ip's and it would only take me little effort to find out your IP :)

I started using firefox and it is loads faster than IE. The only problems I experience is with fonts and sizes on certain websites, but that's a small sacrifice for a better browser :D

Erm pardon me? i heard that the IE does translate HTML in a different way then non microsoft browser which makes it different...i.e. animated gifs. IE slows down the speed but in mozilla firefox it will be shown at full speed.

and firefox reads the html code correctly unlike the IE which does whatever it wants..

Well, simply put the mozilla engine follows more strictly the rules of html, wile IE just .. well, yeah limality, it does what it wants @.@
Basically you experience some problems qhen sombody did a crappy html page, with errors in the source. In those cases, maybe IE shows it a little better.. still.. i HATE IE !!!
Mozilla forever :D

i use opera only, i can't get used to firefox interface after using opera for so looong...

Well Opera is ok too, i just said mozilla cause i'm more used to it. still i think i made clear my point, everything is fine as long as it's not IE :D

i know...but opera likes to crash sometimes :\ now if only mozilla was tabbed just like opera......

You're right about that. My site is totally mozilla compatible. No mistake on html and I guess I could be more proud of that. ^^ Unlike some other sites that make there site look like crap. I feel sorry for them. Mozilla for ever and it will sitting in my comp. for ever. Yay..ad free browsing.
