Any toughts and comments?

=) they brang back dual SLI weeeee

Unless any of you still stuck with GeForce 2 or 3, better give it a go.

Well um I am more of a ATI guy myself... nVIDIAs cards are good no doubt and they make solid drivers but the design of the cards are at fault... usually needs a separate power source. And Radeon cards usually are a bit better than GeForce.. but thats my humble opinion XD

well i do want the ati x800 xt but the only problem is that it does not fully support pixel shader 3.0 like the 6800 does so nvidia has an advantage there, but the only problem with the 6800 is that it requires a lot of juice from the psu to power up.

ummm....i heard it really kicks ass when running games at high resolutions but not much speed improvement in lower resolutions.....plus that thing eats power like crazy....u need like 450watt PSU to support 2 molex connection on the card...ROFL.....i'm giong to wait till ATI makes something to counter this XD

i have a PNY GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256 MB card right now, and i'm happy with that until the prices on the 6800s lower :)

i definately say the radeon X800 beats teh Geforce 6800, look at the benchmarks XD

ya, the GeForce 6800 and the X800 are a little spendy i think... im gonna go w/a 5950 for $350.. and that will last me At least 2 years

i prefer ati cards... cuz ati gots better tv outs for their video cards :D

unless nvidia is adding a small nuclear plant on those card i won't buy them ... a fricking 480Watt PSU is recommended ... they are cookoo

it's true the 6800 has more advanced shaders and precision than the ATi ......

think i wait for the 6800mx ... <g>

too expensive, wouldn't spend more than 180€ on a video card anymore =/

there's not much of a worry about nvidia's pixel shader 3.0 since i don't see games using that in the foreseeable future. i've pretty much converted to the ati side since ati cards don't need a hairdryer for cooling.
