I like the idea of using something like Windowblinds to customize the look and
feel of Windows XP, but I also have put forth a lot of effort to get the most
performance out of my PC I can. Windowblind's significant performance hit is
pretty annoying. If anyone knows of a less resource demanding app that is
similar or tweaks/optimizations for Wb please let me know. Right now I'm using
Tuneup Utilities Visual Styles, it isn't nearly as nice as Windowblinds but also
doesnt cause any noticeable performance hit.
1. Try turning off some of the skinning features like skinning the buttons and
scrolbars.\
2. Disable the ability to change the animation sequence.
3. Use a very good graphics card.
Windowblinds 4.x has lower CPU usage than previous versions. Try reading the
documentation and some tips from Stardock for increasing performance.

Thanks, I'll try those. I'm using a GeForce 6800 Ultra, not a whole lot of options for improvement there lol.
WB doesn't really depend on graphics accelaration, it's more for clarity. You might see some glitch while using old cards.
