Hey i was wondering if anyone could recommend a book the might have used to
learn how to draw anime. I'd love to learn the techniques, and i want to buy a
book, but i figure somebody here at the best anime site on the net can
probably direct me to the better books out there. Thanks.
mmm, i don't know about books... but I can give you a link to a free web
tutorial. When I started to learn how to draw, this tutorial help me a
lot!!!.
instead of a book, i recommend tracing other people's work first. after you get
the feel of the structure and porportion of the head, body, etc, you should be
able to create something of your own style ^_^
Acually, I would recomend drawing from life rather than trasing Instead of creating your own style, you would end up with their style of
art, unless you want to go for that. Good luck to you on your art!
Practice practice practice practice practice practice. No one book or site is
going to make you draw like a master. You must love to draw and perfect your
craft daily. Slowly but surely you will get better. Don't give up and don't let
up the love!
I learned out of copying and modifiying, then after a year or so i became
addicted to books ^_^
