I looked for stuff of Ikeda Ryoko on MT but couldn't find anything...
in Germany mostly everybody knows "Versailles no bara/the Roses of Versailles" and I even have some others of her works...
is she that unknown in other countries? won't belief that...

I wouldn't say she's unknown here. She's just not as popular as she should be. It also depends on what crowd you're talking to. The shoujo-ai crowd should know her works.
