its one of the eye openers manga i've read. its not hentai? but there were so
many explicit scenes.. its under what me and my friends call,
"educational" manga. highly recommanded for those who are curious

No, manga also do not show any genitals. It is actually H-anime/manga (also
called ecchi due to sexual nature) but not hentai (perverted) cuz it is more
"educational"
I saw the anime and read some scanlations. Personally, the manga is better since
it tries to be more educational. The anime is quite good but it deals more about
the couple's adventure. And I think that there are better ecchi animes that

Haven't read the manga version like some of the folks here, but I have seen the
anime version.
It's close to hentai as it gets (in my opinion, because we don't get to see the
genitals), just without all the brutal stuff (bondage, rape, etc.) The main
characters (forgetting their names right now) have a sweet relationship, that
neither one would take avantage of the other's naiveness.

I beg to disagree with this. I read the Japanese version and I find it
informative as well as funny to boot.

Futari Ecchi is a hentai it's just not hardcore. there are alot hentais that are
like Futari Ecchi like for example Elven Bride, Dragon Pink, and Lemon (i think
thats it called lemon) those are alot like Futari Ecchi. in those they don't
show anything. but never the less all of those even Futari Ecchi is hentai just
because they have sex and other things.
I like Aki Katsu senseis style of drawing: Futari Ecchi,Psychic Acedemy or
Vision of Escaflowne are very well drawn! Futari Ecchi is fun and in my opinion
some kind of sex bible in the form of manga!^^

I dont know why some places have it under the category of Hentai. They dont show enough to be Hentai, but I will agree it is right on the line.
