Often times you see anime and mangas that you see familiar faces (this doesn't
mean anime or mangas from the same author). Obviously this mean that person
hasn't done anything that is orginal.
I would probably say for the serious anime and manga cousumer out there, we're
bored of the same. We need originality, not those repeates of harems such as
love hina and maburaho or any that would fall into this category. I often find
that the samurai series is also getting repetitive also. Conclusion is that
anime is losing it's orginality that suppost to sets it apart from other
genres.
ps: when your post, don't post your opinion about budget or anything money
related.
Yeah we are in a kind of slump. With the advent of CGI many animators have
gotten lazy. I don't care for the 3d animated battles of the newer gundams and
stuff. Gundam Wing was the hight of traditional animation. I just think 3d is
so ugly. Also the whole original effect of anime has worn off. When I used to
watch it I got goosebumps. It was so alien and strange but interesting at the
same time. But since then it hasn't really changed and the effect has
definitely lessened. The idea of cookie cutter design keeps getting more
prevalent. I am beginning to hate all the new versions of anime coming out. I
don't like Gundam Seed, Full metal Alchemist, or any of the other new series.
They just seem so tired and worn. I know I will be flamed for saying that about
gundam seed and FMA. The characters are not interesting in the least, and the
eye candy is no longer interesting.
Yes, and the massive proliferation of the 'bishonen' culture too. give me one
male lead that doesn't look like a girl nowdays.
Yeah, I used to look in awe at stuff like Macross, and 0083 Gundam mostly due to
the animation, but most of it has gone all blurry, CG and shit. The only ones
that still manage to do so for me are those from Studio Ghibli.
i believe that if the artist has to use a computer, then they are unsure of
their art. most of my art, is done with watercolors. i have two, because i
didnt want to mess them up inking or painting. the artist are becoming too much
like koge donbo's art, and are losing creativity.
the story's are not as good anymore, because they are all similar. now fma has
a unique story, i think, but i dont like the characters or the art to much. but
there are things like naruto, evangelion, and bleach that are good stories and
art and characters. but the mangas of bleach and naruto are better. they dont
have the koge donbo art, but completely different art and frankly, not as clean
or anything, but they are handdrawn and it shows. they are better
ghibli used computers for princess mononoke btw, but they didnt use them like
all those cg and hentai games.
and nurse witch komugi is awesome. they did it all by hand (the drawing and
coloring) and it looks awesome
