i dont really get into online games, in fact i think that the game developers
take out good game content just to make way for online capability. so i was
wondering what other people thought about this. do you like online, or like me
do you love the story and challange of compleating a game by yourself? i mean
come on is anyones favorite game an online game? i know mines not.
I have honestly never played any online game at all... But I think I would
prefer to play a game by myself so you dont have to suffer if someone else makes
a stupid mistake.
Pristontale, Dofus, Gate to heavens and now Guild Wars : yep, I enjoy online
games. It's more friendly than a offline game, but it's sure that you can't hope
a big story. Most of time it's only lvl up lvl up lvl up
But in Guild Wars with all the missions there is a real story : at a moment, you
travel 2 years after the first evenements and continue the game (and of course
you join all the players who are at the same point of the story)
ps : But i prefer a good offline game, it's just that online games aren't so bad
I love talking and playing with other people but it just isn't fun outside of
that. I asked a friend, who plays ffxi, and he said all you really do is level
up.....fun.
i like online because i can meet and chat with people of all world but there is
no ending.. sometimes i like more nice/interesting stories with a nice
ending..but..after i finish the game i always want to play again continuing the
story..but it finished :p
back in 9th grade ,when we first got laptops at school, almost everybody was
playing UT 2004. so id have to say that online games are awesome if you have
enough players
I perfer online games over offline ones anyday..if you cared to look and
see..online games DO still have a storyline to it..plus u can interact with
other people form all over the world on an online game (unless its stictly US
and canada like everquest) IMO online games overpower the offline ones anyday
but thats just my opinion lol ^_^

one was realy good and had a great story (it wasnt an online game) then the
second one came out as an online game, totaly crap the story was boring
yea i agree with you on the halo thing, it seems like the story takes a back
seat in a lot of online console games. not that i dont really play a few, socom

lineage 2 is like crack. i wasted away grinding at the levels for a year..its a
hard, addicting game with few content. most you can hope to accomplish is lvl up
and kill ppl, or massive pvp in clan wars, etc. but i enjoyed killing ppl so

i m quite noob to on9 games cos i just started my 1st on9 game a few months back
(project A3) and had trouble askin for directions but
soon i got the hang of it and found out that on9 games can be quite fun too cos
u nvr feel lonely when u r on9... but then again when u meet noobs who think u
play the game to help them lvl up it can get pretty frustrating so there r pros
and cons of playin on9 games if u ask me haha

havent played guild wars yet, but i wasent really knocking online games or like cutting them down.
FFXI is good tho. at least you got something to do besides lvl up...

Maple Story and used to be Part of Gunboudn... it was interesting at first.. but it does get tedious afterwards XP So I don't really mind either way

Maple Story seems to be a very popular online game. I've never played it though.

I also play Gunbound and PRO(Philippine Ragnarok Online).
