I always expect the same respect from others that I would expect for myself.
Though the illusion is that no one really cares no more about people's feelings.
It's more about them self then any other before them. You would think people are
good for the most part and do what is right. It's just most people don't feel
that way these days.
An example: (some stories)
What you expect: My close friend has this
girl he been trying to get with and been talking too. And I as a friend would
never try anything to that girl after knowing my friend feels this way.
The illusions: My other friends would try
to get her even after knowing how he feels. And would end up getting into her
pants. Though you would think he is looking for a commitment but it was just for
ass at the end. And to them, the girl is stupid enough to fall for them when all
they want is to fuck and forget her...
What you expect: My friend lives with his
girl friend that they been together for more then 8 years and she always help
him out with money, a place stay, or what ever it may be
The illusions: He would fuck anyone that
would give him a piece of ass. He's more of a man whore but I try to tell him
all the time that why don't you just love the one you are with. But that's just
the way he is...
Now, what I told you about some of these people doesn't really make them bad
people. They are one of the nicest people around but behind it all. They do
stuff that questions what I think about them some times. Like if I had a
girlfriend that I'm in love with... would they fuck her behind my back if she
let's them? I think I live in a world of illusion because I'm the only one that
does not agree to what they do behind close door. My questions is... I'm I the
only one that has this point of view or is this thing pretty normal from where
you come from?
It's pretty normal now a days. Society is corrupt and its views of what is right
have been twisted. I saw it all the time when I was still in high school. Guys
at school would do anything just to get a girl to sleep with them. Didn't matter
if they had a boyfriend or love interest. All that mattered was getting the girl
into the sack. One of my close friends actually had this happen to him. Broke up
a long standing friendship too.
I guess your right Spystreak when you think about. Kind of makes you wonder...
where's all the good guys? No wonder girls stereotype guys as being pigs and
players because most of us guys are...

Maybe I've got this utopic view that each person (some really deep down...) has
a good part in them, that they respect themselves and others... but it's right
that these days people are becoming selfish. A lot of people are getting friends
with people that will mostly get them where they plan to be... they use others
for their own good and own goals! When they achieve what they want, they just
throw them away... cause they are not needed anymore...
But why are people getting more and more selfish? More and more individualistic?

It's bad to say it but everything you do is for your own purpose. When you think
about helping someone, do you think it was for him or for you (whether the
interest is)? Giving something for someone, do you do this just for giving or
for some kind of self satisfaction (or hope for return) ?
I'm sorry to say that we are meant to act for ourselves and I don't know anyone
who would say the opposite.

what you mean man... but do we all have to be this way? I for one would not like
to follow what others consider ok to do. And the one and only reason why I do
good things to help people is because I hope that one day... some one will help
me too when I need it. What goes around, comes around. Maybe it's just my own

It's very difficult not to be considering the human kind. To make it possible,
you should make total abstraction of your interests, don't ever think of
yourself. But that's kinda hard since someone who doesn't act for himself
doesn't ever think of his future so what kind of life is one without purpose ?

In a way yes... the only difference is that it would not be
from the person I help out. You heard the term... Don't pay me back but pay it forward... so that way the world can
be a better place. i got the idea from the movie "Pay it Forward"
though I'm pretty sure everything comes with a price these days. I might not be
any different then so many others but I do want to take the road less travel.
And see where my life takes me... I don't want to follow in some kind of trend
(not that there is any wrong with it) but more because it will define the person
that I am, and I (no one else) would feel better about it. Though you can't
really say that people that don't think about themselves doesn't think of his
future. In away, he is making the future in some way better for his action and
that would be a good enough purpose to some. Some people don't think less of
themselves - they just think about themselves less.

as you thought...to me it's difficult to determine if we always do something for
us...I believe that you can do (even often) something for the others, but here
it must be unconscious...So maybe all the things we do unconsciously are turned
to the others;
So the question will be, can we turn attention to the others by ourselves,
without think about interest for us....

natural person is selfish, you should open your eyes and see how selfish a

person If you take white & black to represent the colors of what is
good and evil. I would be in shades of gray. No angel but a devil doing the work
