Well, I saw this thread in other page (can't remeber the page sorry !!), and really liked it ^__^, I want to hear the stories from people here at
MT.. It can be things your parents or friends or whoever you know have said
about anime, it can be something thay've done too, it can be funny or not
Mine was with my grandma, I was doing a sketch of Duo (Gundam Wing.. he's a
guy), then she came into my room to see what I was doing
Granma: hi, what're you doing
Sreavl: sketching something
Grandma: *looks from above my shoulder* Oh!! what a beautiful girl
Sreavl: o___O!?!?!? *thinks: girl!?*
Grandma: so what's her name
Sreavl: o___o;;, uhmm it's D..iane grandma
Grandma: uh ok, uhmm maybe you should add some boobs there, she's soo
flat-chested
Sreavl: *imagines Duo with breasts* O___o;;; uhmm yeah I'll draw that later
Grandma: *leaves the room*
Sreavl: *shock* ...o__O;; *shock continues (duo with boobs oh noeez!!)*
Hehe!
My parents would usually say that I should stop watching anime because I'll
never learn valuable in watching anime...-they're totally wrong.
They also say that watching animes are just for little kids, sheesh! You call
hentai animes kiddy shows?
my parents would say, stop watching animes, blabla, if its ur lil sisters then
at least its okay..
i dont get it at all~ i dont think the rest of my family members (relatives
etc.) knw that i'm watching anime. its like descreet
Referring to the DVD cover of Steel Angel Kurumi, my dad once asked, "why
are those girls naked?" And I answered, "because they're robots."
Then we moved on.
My parents don't say anything... not really. They know I watch and love anime.
Hehe, when they asked me what I wanted for my birthday, only to get my response
of "the Gundam Wing Complete Operations box set", they managed to just
stare at me for a while before saying okay. Sometimes, when I'm watching in the
family room, they watch with me too - often times asking questions regarding the
plot. For the most part, it's just like with my drawings, they know and they
leave me to enjoy what I love.

Not much, they don't seem to think anything is wrong with "cartoons".
