i know that you've heard of this before... don't get me wrong, i'm not asking of its relation to the word "love." i simply wanted to know o f your thoughts on destiny... do you believe in it? does it really contradict the thought of having free will? do you think that you can change the future? once an event is bound to happen, can it be changed?

i dont believe in destiny i make my own....sounds kinda cheesy but i do i dont believe in it

yeah i do to a certain extent.. i believe that destiny is real, although i think that a person has multiple destinies, not just one.it changes everytime you make a choice. that's what i believe, so to those who don't agree with me, yeah, sue me..lol

I don't like being told what to do, and in a way destiny does just that. So no.

i think destiny is what your ment to do. by that i mean like a life achevement, or finding inner peace. i also think that every one has some meaning in life.(except this kid at my school. its like god got bored and created him)

I dont believe in destiny. . . God gave us the freedom to do whatever we desire.
When i did something, it is because i choose to do it.. im not bound or destined to do it.

i think its what we make for owerselfs or that it was ment to be, i don't really beleve something was planned from the moment of my birth but then again i could be wrong..

I don't really much believe in destiny, either.... once you born to be a a heir of a king, you'll be a king? or once you are born to be a poor kid, you'll end-up living like a poor man? so, that's why I don't believe that much in destiny, I'm the one who make my own fate....

i like the idea that we choose are own life. and no destiny decides it for me. because i wanna live it how i want.

I don't really belive in "destiny", so to speak. Lately I've been using the following phrase quite frequently: "Everything happens for a reason. The hardest part is finding that reason". It's kind of like destiny...meaning that I think one thing happens so that something else will down the line. But I think what happens later can be changed..based on decisions you make and things you do. There are infiniate outcomes, but one thing won't happen unless something else happens.

Does that make sense? OX

I'm having doubts about this. There's no way to tell whether things r predestined. I want to believe they're not. When ppl completely submit to the believe of destiny, they're less likely to work towards their goals. Thinking that it would make no difference, the end is just going to be the same w/ or w/out the effort.

Don't manipulated by destiny!

I don't believe on that because it's so stupid to think that even though we have our own will to do what we want to be and what to seek.

I'll be the one who decides my fate. I don't believe in destiny bcoz we have own freedom to choose our paths in life. I'll only allow God to decide for my destiny bcoz I know that He has good reasons on what happening to me.

Fate is Fate. There are those who believe in the whole quantam theory idea that all possibilities exist and we just choose to see our one. I believe there is one concrete existence that is made from the path we choose. In the end we are always what we make, it is compltely within our control.

in a philosopher's point of view, i do think of its existence as a partial guide to us all... it may exist but only to a certain extent... maybe we misinterpreted its true essence or value... i'm not saying that it does... it might... i've been tackling this task for a while now and i've found plenty of ideas... they already are intertwined and i've made my own conclusion...

There is somehow i don't belive in so what called "destiny" but I belive in "Fate" I belive Destiny is something that you must do or something that you get in your life. But by fighting hard the destiny can be changed, different from fate, fate is the law, it is written in your story of life, And you cannot change it. If someone told you your fate and you changed it. It is wrong, the one you changed is destiny and fate write that you Change that destiny.

I think this is what i think about destiny

Only one could determine one's destiny. It doesn't really contradict the thought of having free wil because we choose our own path in life. Every single thing counts no matter how trivial. In a way, simple things that we do now could effect us in the near future.

Some things couldn't be changed, we just have to accept it.

I have two theories on destiny.

1. It exists. Our free will is allowed to do anything but it will always fall within an acceptable range for our destiny. That is to say we can have lots of different paths down our life but we will always end up in the same place.

2. It exists. Our destiny changes to fit our choices. The end is different for different choices but the same end will happen for the same choices.

That must have been highly confusing and odd. Forgive me for I have the Salmon of Doubt in my hands.

I do believe there is a form of destiny, although it kinda makes me feel depressed. I mean what would be the point to live if everything is already made out for you?

It doesn't really matter to me.
I'll make the best of things regardless.
