I really haven't been around long enough to stand on a soapbox, but here goes anyway.

I uploaded a scan just now. It was from NGE and, being a good little kid, I checked through the Female Scans section of NGE to make sure that I wasn't doing something dumb like uploading a duplicate scan.

If you'd go look at the Female scans in NGE, there are seventeen pages of them. It took a fair bit of time.

But that doesn't matter! The real thing it got me to thinking about was the scan descriptions and searching in general. I just wanted to make the [overly complex and demanding] suggestion that people ought to give moderatley detailed descriptions that... describe the picture. Even though I can't search yet, I can imagine it would be helpful to be able to, uh... search and actually get useful results back. Even if it's just "It's Shinobu in a school uniform" or something.

And I guess if people were really feeling bored they could go back and add descriptions to the scans they've submitted. It would be, like, cool. And probably cut down on duplicate scans for things like this. And contribute to the downfall of mankind.
