Im 16 years old and while i do feel i am mature for my age i dont feel like an
adult yet. Thats why i was wondering when most people finally consider themself
to be adults?
I've always been mature for my age. I guess I could have been considered an
adult on the matureity level around the age of 10 or so. Though I guess it
could be how to do with how I was treated as a kid, which I really wouldn't want
to get into right now. And for the record, I'm currently 21.
yeah..i'm 16 (almost 17 soon). it is kinda scary thinking about myself
becomming an adult. i think i will actually consider myself an adult when i
move out of my parent's house...
well...um....i guess i've been considered mature for my age too, even though i
dont act it. but i guess you can be considered an adult
mentally-whenever you are old enough to accept certain facts in life.
emotionally- whenever you can deal with the fact that not everyone is gonna like
you and with the whole love/hate thing
socially- the truth is most of society will consider you an adult between the
ages of 18-60 after 60 you're a senior citizen. if you want to consider a senior
citizen as an adult then once you hit 18 you're an adult
16 [Soon to be 17]. Well it all depends really on how u clearify 'Adult' for me
i'm ust use to the age 20. Mainly because it doesnt end with the word 'Teen'
Lol.

animehouse has point as long as you reach a certain maturity level and can make
the right decions then i would say that i a sense you are an adult
I personaly think that there is no age for being an adult. I think it's about
you maturity. I mean you can be 12 and still be more mature then a 21 year old.
Whenever you act responsibily and intelligently then I think you should be
considered an adult. However not all so-called "adults" are like this
mind you.
for me being an adult means being mature in making decisions and being
responsible. i left home when i was 12 to go to high school. i think i was
forced to become an adult then. i have to live away from my family and i have to
be mature enough to take care of myself and be responsible. i have to do my own
laundry, manage my expenses, etc. my eldest brother is now 26 and he's the most
immature person i know. he still depends on my parents and make dumb decisions.
i think i'm more like an adult than he is.
No one is really an adult at any age, we are mere children playing in a sandlot
full of foolish rules and stipulations that destroys comprehension and
development of a true adult. I think a true adult is one that reaches
enlightenment - a rare path.
At the age of 19, I became more mature and responsible... that
age I experience to have a job and have my own money... I helping my family in
their needs so that's why I consider my self a mature man...
It's not when I considered myself an adult, it's a gradual process, not a
[snap], done. I've always been more mature than others, always been more
"adult", so I can't really say anything other than
"forever". If I had to name a general age for everyone else: 17.
I think I considered myself an adult around age 12 .
Looking back now, of course, I know that I was anything but, hehe... It's
different stages/ages for everybody, but I'm an adult now, at any rate.

Age is not the deciding factor. If I must place an age on it, 21.
Heh.. yeah, 21 would probably be when you become an adult. After 21, most(if not all) countries impose no further restrictions on your activities.
hm...i would consider 18 as a 'new' adult. 21 is an adult that isn't new to being an adult...that sounded weird...

you are an adult whenver you are mature enough to take responsibility for your life, and your dependants.
I don't know, I'm not an adult after all.. I don't know in what age..
maybe on 17-20 or maybe more.
I don't know..
I'm just waiting for the time
i would consider 16 to be a young adult. my definition of adult would be 18 and above.

to me an adult is able to support him/herself.
so i'm not an adult, not until i finish college and get a career.

i would have to say 20 .....been there done that.

i think someone with 20 yrs old is a young adult, with 25+ is an adult... Duh!
