This is kind of a U-turn from my most recent thread before this, "They
lived....unfortunately". In your favorite anime, whose death set you off
the most? Please notify the readers of any spoilers, just like this.
SPOILER!!!!!
It really made me mad when Colonel Todaka and Auel Neider from GSD died. They
were both such awesome characters!
Gaara from Naruto. Honestly, I was more sad than mad when I found out that he
was going to die. But he was awsome and had just turned his life around. I
didn't think it was fair..... Maybe, he'll pull a DBZ and somehow come back.
Of course, Maes Hughes from FMA. I loved that guy! And it wasn't just that he
was killed, but WHY he was killed: for trying to uncover the truth! I was
utterly shocked when it happened, but the more I thought about it, the madder I
got! (Still, it's nice that he seems to have a parallel-universe thing going on
in the upcoming movie, at least that's what it looks like.)
A near-death that pissed me off happened in GitS:SAC when Togusa was shot. As
the episode closed, leaving him collapsed on the ground in the rain, I thought,
"No way. No FREAKIN' WAY! They can't kill Togusa! Next to Batou and the
Major, he's too cool!" I was relieved to see him alive, though damaged, in
the following episode.
Spoilers::
i would have to say mae hughes, from fullmetal alchemist. That was the most
shocking.
Also, the third hokage off of naruto. He was a really good guy

Kaworu in Evangelion, I know he was an Angel, but still!
Haru and Sandaime in Naruto, also extremely sad.
4th Hokage, Gekkou Hayate, Zabuza, and Haku from Naruto.....good people they
were.
Kaze from Final Fantasy Unlimited......he was a cool guy.
A lot of people from the Fatal Frame (Project Zero in Japan) series.
Shia from Pita Ten (manga) she's a sweet person
.:: Spoiler::.
Nuriko from Fushigi Yuugi!!!!
All though lots of characters died in the end, I was so mad that Nuriko had to
die
After he died I felt like the anime series was missing something very important

like 20 minutes after I watched the series... They tried so hard and got so far

It got me when Nicol died in GS. As well as tolle. I really like both of them. I
think they could have killed other characters and not lost anything. But if
destiny was already kinda planned out it might have changed more.
Of course Hughes's death in FMA was upsetting, but I also didn't like it when
the homunculi died, especially Lust. It was sad in the anime because she was the
only one with a concience and so she could've been redeemed, and in the manga it
was just so soon and unexpected.
L's death in Death Note was bad too. I'd also agree with hoobageek and say that
Gaara's death in Naruto was upsetting, except... Gaara can't die, right? I
refuse to believe he's dead until Sakura and Chiyo confirm it (I've only been
reading the manga, I don't know if things are any different in the anime).
