I was reading news about games like every day, when I fell on an article about
"Cowboy Bebop Tsuioku no Serenade". I'm a fan of this anime, so I was
very interested. But it looks like a banal beat'em all, with the "cowboy
touch".
So, for people who are aware about that, what are your feelings about this
game?
As with all of these adaptions, I'm wary. If some English game sites would
actively cover it it would be nice... It's hard to tell how it's going to be. It
looks nice as far as the screens, but will it play well? Will it be any fun?
Reptitive? I'm cautious. I hope they make it good, I would love a good Cowboy
Bebop game after all. Guess time will tell.
Dear god... I could have sworn I was reading about this game like two years
ago... Maybe I'm mistaken. Hopefully, it'll be better than what they did to
Ghost In The Shell. I haven't seen that series, but I'm pretty sure even being a
fan couldn't make me play through that game... so rigid
The idea is cool...since Cowboy Bebop is a great anime. The world is perfect to
make a game when you think about it...the only catch is how they go about it.
They would have to go third person...shooter most likely, BUT I think a RPG
format would be even better for a game set in this world. Rund around...pick up
bounties, have your group and stuff...although for the space combat you'd have
to switch to a first person shooter style I think...
Anyway you look at it though, the game will most likely be mediocre at best. I
can't think of a anime gone game that was actually great...there have been some
decent ones...like the last Ghost in the Shell for PS2 and supposedly the
Gungrave game was pretty cool (Never played it myself just read the reviews).
Mmm hmm... the game looks hot. (save for Spike's hair. Looks like chipped
cement)
You know what I would like to see in it? Rad button-mashing for Spike's kung-fu
moves, a asteroid-dodging level, and of course, great camera angles, just like
in the anime (it does look like it!).
It's possible, ultimashower, that you saw something on this game over a year
ago. (Don't know about two though) I heard about it in early 2004. It should be
coming out in Japan next month.

Rumor mill and early talks from OPM prolly got it in my head
So, just saw a Japanese trailer for the game on IGN.com. Looks like there is
some sort of minigame or something that allows you to fly the Swordfish.
Interesting..

thanks for your reactions
Yeah, bleach, naruto and others anime games seems to be very average : they just use the fact that we're fans so we want to buy it.
+1 : an additive game, with the Cowboy bebop atmospher, would be really great.
On the website, the most old news date from the 2005 6/15 : but maybe they started to think about this game a long time ago, I don't know...

I`m also very happy, and can`t wait to get it.
I hope it`s gonna be awesome
I think that it will be a good game. I'm anticipating its release. I hope it lives up to it's expectation.
