Just wondering if any of you are using the gimp to create wallpapers, and if you could post tutorial sites etc.

i use it to do backgrounds and stuff
my brother uses it to color and stuff

i use filters or dialogs or something to do effects but thats about it

I use the GIMP for everything. As for tutorials, most photohop tutorials will work fine for gimp. Some of the names of tools may be different, but the steps are more or less the same/

I use gimp for my website graphics. I don't do much else with it, and I hell can't draw with it. I haven;t tried wallpapers yet. I'll do that soon.

I tried GIMP few months ago on my Windows...it crashed all the time. It seemed great otherwise

Yeah, I tried it too a few months ago. Same result. Lot of crashing. But now it's completly stable. At least on my computer. Made a wall yesterday without problems. (check gallery and comment )

GIMP is great. I love open souce. I got it a few weeks ago and I haven't had it crash once. I havn't downloaded the help files; I am more of a trial and error guy, but I was wondering how helpful they are and if anybody recomends them.
