I agree with Athrun..but Shinn prolly lost his main character role because of
his ATTITUDE/ANGER management PROBLEMS
Is there really a "main" character for gs/gsd? To me, it seems like
that it is simply showing a story without a main focus. The level of detail on
each person is about the same.
He lost it over attitude and anger management problems? Could
be, could be. Never have I seen a character who was as angry as Shinn, but then
again... I don't watch that much anime.

That is true...but there are characters that stand out from the other isn't
there? like Kira and Athrun for SEED
i havent seen any of GSD yet, besides bits of the first ep cause its not
finished downloading :P
i hope kira comes out as a main character. i wanna see love interest
developments that werent there in great detail in seed, but from other threads
it sounds like thats a little hectic too, lol

Yep he lost it over anger management problems...Athrun....LOL what a shame for
Shinn.......that's why Fukada have a back up main character (Kira) like if one
goes completely evil and uncontrolling and loses his qualities of a good leader
then he goes for the person who is nice and calm and show leadership
qualities.....I guess
I think in the beginning of gsd, the main character is Athrun and Shinn. As the
story go on, when it finally showing Kira, then the main character role change
back to him and Athrun. Shinn may just be little under the main character role.
Kira is more smarter than both Athrun and Shinn in the War and Gundam. Shinn
just too confuse right now. Kira know what he have to do. Lastly Athrun
finally realize the truth and go back to Kira after half of the gsd already
aired.
I don't really think Kira is the main character in this story. Though he does
play a profound role, he wasn't even re-introduced fully until the attack at the
Orb manor, where he really got back in the game. He is one of the major
characters, but I'd say this series focuses much more on Athrun, which I think
is a good thing as he spent much of Gundam SEED in a smaller role than Kira
played.

and really doesn't even want to defend himself. He's not that great of an MS
pilot, but he just "happens" to get the best suit in the Seed
universe.

Freedom showed up, it just became "Hi-MAT eveyrthing!" He's good at
programming, but lacks in MS piloting skill.

you know seed is a little different from another gundam series...
it has Angst point there... some drama.. and the story are much more
complicated........
so i think its not even a really problem if Kira isn't that strong but at least
the story is going well......
and Strike is one of Weak gundam there.... but Kira could beat Lagowe with that.
(Lagowe is really strong, ) and heck, he even fight 4 gundam at once.....
i never seen someone at gundam series like that. (Fight Gundam, not MS like
Zaku.)

It's not the fact of what he can do, it's the fact of who he is (personaility)
and the kinda of person he is
well from the beginning of gsd i did sympathize with shinn.. but hes too much of
a hyprocrite.. and his attitude issues really do annoy after a while.. i liked
shinn.. i still do.. but kira is a character i relate more to we're
both cry babies! T.T
