Yes its so true, plants are hard to take care of.
i had a plant that only grow to be about an inch tall and it died the day after
it grew.
but you know other then that i like to look at them not to take care of
I like plants. I don't any at the moment because I'm not real fond of bugs
which are of course necessary to plant health. I particularly like large old
trees. For some reason seeing something with great age and strength makes me
feel good.
they're really nice actually. they're so pretty and i love the green colors and
the flowers are cool. i would love to have a garden one day. but for now, i
live in an apartment so we don't have a backyard or anything. my mom keeps so
aloe though. they taste really good in drinks! XP

lol, Orchids are the plant of choice for my mom and so we have a bunch of those
around the house. We also have cactus [agave and "mine" ^^], 2 young
date trees, a tiny lemon tree, a...don't know the name in English tree which has
really nice smelling flowers, and two pots of bamboo =D
And as practical BorisGrishenko said, I love plants for dishes and seasonings
etc. Imagine nature with no plants! Well...that posion oak rampant in our
yard...k, I've babbled enough ^^'
I have a Aloe plant that I make sure to take care of and actually do play music
for at times, it seems to help my plant grow since it is just growing and
growing.

for cooking and gathering wood, yes. Also for scenery when I hike, but that is rare these days

My mother likes plants, too. We have over 50 room plants.
Sure plants are important for life, but when I look at some of these I got scratches or sicknesses..

I only love lavenders.. And I still keep a bunch of dry lavenders in my room
Plants gives us oxygen, food and hold the soil to prevent landslides and soil eroision. Too precious to hate them. Long live the plants!!!
