I was planning to make a wallpaper with water.. but i never been good at it.

I tried that, and everyone thought it was ice... @.@
The best way I found out after trying so many tutorials is to use chrome and
overlay it over the gradient or color. Then burn and dodge parts of the chrome
to make it look right with the light. And get rid of some of the chrome so it
won't look all the same~ ^.^ I hope that helps abit!
Lemme tell ya that I didn't use my Water Tutorial to make that particular water.
I painted it. First I made a gradient, then I added in random lines and curves
in lighter blue. I used the Dodge brush to highlight some of the lines. Then
used Gaussian Blur to soften it. Then on a new layer, I made the shadows. Pretty
much the same thing. After that I made a duplicate of the highlight layer and
scaled it to a larger size, and toned down the opacity to 40%.
