At the recent MMBB Online Game Fiesta, SNK Playmore announced that an anime based on King of Fighters is already in development.

The anime is being made by Production IG. The only thing that they announced is that Kyo Kusanagi, K', Ash Crimson and Alba Meira will be featured in the anime.

I hope "normal" guys like terry, benimaru, ryo are not there just for being kicked by the almighty flame users.

I've kinda lost faith in snk depicted animes.....from past experience.....art of fighting, voltage fighter gowcaizer, samurai spirits, fatal fury...none have been really good.....average....some were actually pretty sad (hint hint gowcaizer, aof)

Production IG hooray. Now i'm relieved. I hope to be a nice anime and to stay away from his "relatives" [street fighter, battle arena].

Well i don't think that they will put so much effort [after all gits it's their masterpiece] but at least they will do a decent job to keep the fame up [eeeh well, bad english here]. Well, the tough part will be the plot and not the animation. If the plot is flat then it won't be any better from tekken [the worst anime based in a beat up game ever]

you are right. I think they should use the orochi saga plot, but it's impossible because k', ash and alba are in. I don't understand why put a kof maximum impact character in.

I won't be that happy if the plot is great but totally unrelated with kof storyline

Has potential. I like Orabi's animation on the Fatal Fury anime's but this looks good too.

i think kof it's the only fighting game that had a decent storyline (the orochi saga), the problem is that alba meira, ash and k' and kyo are togheter in the same anime. that means that this anime will not be related to kof storyline.

I hope that they spend a decent amount of time on plot, otherwise I don't think I have any reason to buy it when it comes out...

I also hope that the fights aren't where the opponent team almost beats up Kyo, but then Kyo 1 hit KOs them... that would be frustrating... I wanna see Ralf and Clark though... O.O

yeah ikari team is great, i want to see leona more than ralf and clark. but there's no way they'll get an importante role in the anime......

Is it going to be a series or just a movie? i would love to see a decent series outta it but i'm thinking fat chance. I'm kinda miffed that alba is gonna be in there kof has sum decent story that could make a really good series why throw away what you got if its as good as it is

i think it will be a series, i don't know where snk is getting the founds to make it.

anyway i think that no real kof fan wants alba meira to be in. he's not a bad character but kof mi is totally unrelated to kof storyline.

if they made a series with kof97 story it would have been perfect. too bad.

YEAH WHERE IS IORI ~~~~!!!!!!! i was so happy to find out that there is KOF anime, but to leave Kyo's rival out of the picture!!! what were they thinking ><", but over all it looks great and i cant wait to watch it

it's not official but iori is in the anime. this is probably a concept art and was taken from snkplaymore official website
