I don't think this is official yet, but I've caught hold of a rumor that the
United States is planning to BAN anime from the airwaves. There is a petition
with about 5000 signatures on it so far. Although I'm a Canadian citizen, THIS
P****S ME OFF! If there was another forum started on this can some1 point me to
it and if there isn't does anyone have more information?!?!?

If they were to ban, I'd continue to download it illegally. So meh.

the guy studders like loser even anime is to advanced for his level of
education. it does not effect me dubbed anime is beyond awful i try and stay
away form it as much as possible

the movement in case it gets to be a serious threat (at which I don't beleive it
is at right now). I think the reasons that the petitioner's give for banning
anime are pathetic and there are far more pros and cons.

stupid fraud. Besides...the U.S. has other things to worry about than banning

Well if they do that alot of people are going to be thrown in jail or there
would be mass movement to another country. And there would be rabid sugar high

Anime is the big piece of pie in my life and I would move to Japan the second it
was banned should that ever happen. I'm even planning to live in Japan for

to ignore, all it is is a paper with a few thousand signatures on it...ready to
be burned, the only diffrence here is that there arent signatures...easy delete.
The govenment wouldnt care if it was sent, do you think they'll spend millions
trying to keep out anime? I mean they have problems keeping out drugs and
immigrants.
i dont believe a single thing about this banning anime. its junk. anime has been
here in usa for as long as we know it. itll be stupid to take it now of all

I heard something about it on the news here (in North Carolina). I think they
were complaining about content. But they only show the ones targeted for adults
late at night, kids shouldn't be allowed to stay up that late anyway. I don't
think they will be able to ban it. They haven't been able to ban rap or Marilyn
Manson yet, so I don't think they will acheive this worthless venture either.
Well, as long as fansubs are still here, it's okay. Is anime that bad? Not every
single one is that bad, is it? How can those people say Ah! My Goddess is sick?

kids read and get manipoulated by...I mean, an 11 year old can read Hellsing or
Negima or Ceres and be really moved by those pages.

those who want it, and let anime be the brother of cartoons.
I'm not addicted to anime, as you can tell...I just like the occasional good art
and true sentimental meaning...meanigless crap like Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon is just
that;crap.....there are more, but I don't wanna anger anyone...

down Cartoon Network English translated Anime. I signed it because nothing will
come of that complaint, nothing ever does. Ahahahaha, Also, read some of the
