well first...who saw the movie....who liked it. i loved sin city i thought it was awsome i have the comic books and i loved the movie. (especially that quintin tarintino and robert rodriguez directed it and they are my two favorite directors) but anyways so who liked sin city? and if you have heard cells by the servant (the theme song to sin city) and im talking about the originall not the instrumental version who likes the song.. by the way i preordered the movie and watched it like 4 times since i got it

yeah sin city is pretty cool event hough it seem it would fit mroe appropriately back in the 1960's
but yeah it was worth the time to watch
Cheers

Pretty damn good is what I though. A little odd and out there, but that's a Tarantino for ya. If anyone denies his influence in the picture they need to slapped.

the movie was crap, the color effects gave me a head ache..old school my ass. It was badly directed, and falt out weird..not the good weird either. And just when it begins to make since..it ends. Piece of crap..I guess gathering so many good actors into one movie isn't such a good idea after all.

I had good and bad thoughts about the movie. My main problem with it was that it seemed like it was filmed out of order and some of the stories overlapped oddly now and then.

Personally, I've never given a rat's ass about the skill of the directing and I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it, but whatever, maybe it does help. I've liked all the Robert Rodriguez and Quintin Tarentino films I've seen so I guess they aren't half bad (or bad at all for that matter).

On last thing that was odd about it was that at times, they'd forget to put the color effect in ever scene (one that was most noticable was that the blue eyed girl would only have one blue eye at times). Really nothing to bitch about.

FINALLY! Over all I enjoyed the movie and I thought the different stories were cool. The one about Goldie and Marv(think that was his name) was my favorite. I really good movie(not perfect, but nothing really is no matter how hard you try)...and I don't care if anyone says different.

*end long post*

i thought it was great. i would have liked more jessica alba, but thats just me. :\

I didn't like this movie at all, the plot was shallow and pointless.

Here is a quote from the movie critic William Arnold of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

"And it's out to out-do Tarantino by reveling in the pornography of brutality on a scale never before attempted, a giddy spectacular in which we sit back like Romans at the Coliseum watching people being decapitated, disemboweled, dismembered, castrated and humiliated.

Owen says the movie has "tremendous wit," and the scene that got the biggest laugh at the screening I attended shows Del Toro spitting out yellow water after he's been half-drowned in an unflushed toilet with feces bobbing against his face. Wit?"

That pretty much says it all for me. Don't see this movie if you haven't already.

omg that movie was sweet, had good story and lots of good characters. i just loved it

All Tarantino did was that scene when Jackie Boy was taken to the pits. To watch Sin City for the plot would be to miss the point, I think.

great motherfucking movie in every aspect

Sin City was really cool. the black and white was ok but i liked the movie

I loved the movie. If you found it hard to follow, I guess it wasn't made for the feeble-minded. My favorite parts were watching the "interrogations." It's so refreshing to find a hero who's not squeamish about murder and torture, eh?

sorry but for all the people that didnt like the movies...your not allowed to post anymore

I want to see it... it hasn't hit theatres here yet -_-;; I've heard that it's a terribly violent movie, but I don't know. I'm not easily grossed out by violence, and I'm looking forward to this film because I love Tarantino!

That movie was as sombody already said pretty f***ing good. The end

I really liked the movie, but I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. Two of my friends absolutely hated the movie. Said it was one of the worst films they've seen, which is kind of hard to believe. They were probably exaggerating, but they still really hated it.

i enjoyed it it was good ...nice indeed

Loved it. Modern masterpiece.

I liked how it had three storylines. I really liked how it was mainly in black & white with hints of color. The action scences were nice. I liked the feel and tone of the movie.

I will have to see it again when I get a chance.

Ok to sum up sin cities in a few lines is futile (I tried to write this once already it came out really long) so hear are my main points of the film

It is very original in the way it was filmed, the violence, the visuals, the story every thing was trying to be a break away from the norm a commendable thing.

The problem is that it didn’t quite work as well as it could have. If it had been done in a more traditionally way of filming we might be hailing it as the new matrix (1 not 2 or 3 >_<)

finally I have to say that I liked it a lot and hated it a lot so I have no idea what my point is….my head hurts now I’m very confused by the whole thing which is good.... think ^_^ sorry for the long message

I haven't seen the movie... but just cuz the guy that posted this forum is my cousin I'll just agree with him........ so..... um...... yeah....... cool flick........ or something..........
I love you Tatan!!!.....lol...... my little bunny butt who loves Sin City!!!..........lol....

there were parts that i liked and some i didnt. over all it was okay better than i thought it would be

I'd heard a ton of good things about this movive after it had come out, and poor unfortunate me pretty much had to wait for the dvd release, so I think it had been a little over-hyped for me by the time I saw it. I still liked it a lot, but I don't think it's one I'll go out and buy anytime soon.

All the same, I thought the black and white with bits of color turned out really well in this, just like the few scenes of pure black and white (the scene in the beginning with Kevin's glasses being all white was great), and the stories were interesting, but I could've used a little more of Marv's rampage ;) .

I absolutely love the style of this movie, it feels like a comic yet it's a movie. Great stuff, I've only seen bits and pieces of it but I know that when I actually sit down and watch it I'll love every moment of it.

My cousin is a huge fan and he showed me some cool moments it's really awesome.
