Vector is a type of computer graphics that uses mathematic equation to define
the length and curve of lines, thie is different from bitmap or raster, which
uses pixels. The good thing about vectors is that they can be scaled to any
image size without blurriness or becoming pixelated.
Vectors are mostly done in Adobe Illustrator, which is a vector-based drawing
application. Adobe Photoshop is bitmap based and only has some vector tools such
as the pen tool.
Vector as Ever-rule says keep the same quality in small or large size, if you
enlarge it with a vectorizing software as adobe illustrator, Corel draw, and
over (I use a freeware gnu.. : Inkscape) .
The easiest way too start is to look on editor site.. it's mostly some tutor.
After you must try by yourself.
The vectorizing is the retracing of the limit of each color. After have done it,
you can fill each shape with a color, or over pict.
A pict in vector format is smaller than the same in bitmap format. And if the
vector is well done, you obtain a picture as beautiful as the original one.
Can anybody recommend a site that explains the basics of Vectoring? And I mean the BASICS. I don't even know what it is in the slightest.
To tell the true, all people talk about vector, but i really don't no what is this! Sorry ^^
Same here!
I saw it on the side menu and I have no idea what it is know.
Maybe
go on google, I always do

I personally don't like vectors (they just always look so bland) but here are a few sites that might help:
A vector site I see often: http://www.clearlypixelated.com/vector/
I use these two tutorials mainly for re-cging but they could help you get acquainted with using the pen tool.

Hope they help.
