I studied A Level Economics and I have to say that it was one of the most
interesting subjects I have ever learnt. It opens your eyes to a a lot of what
goes on in the world, from every day life to massive mergers of companies. There
are sections that get a bit boring, but there are some very rewarding sections
too.

I totally agree with Big A.
Economics is a great subject (it's just me whose the problem) and if you got to
learn from it, you may apply it on certain topics of economies of some countries
like America or what country you want to...
And as what I've heard from my professor, Philippines is now having a good
economy but it's going nuts again because of the Oil Price on the International
Market.
I know, I know...I plan on studying Economics after I finish high
school.
nevertheless, I can't help but wish for a pillow during the classes...our
teacher has so monotonous voice and there is hardly anything that could catch my
attention while I am drifting off/spacing out.
Economics is really a nice subject to study. It gives you a view of the world. I
guess all my subjects are like that. ATM I study only 6 subjects: Finnish,
English, Maths (all three compulsory), Economics, Psychology and Physics. I
kinda know how everything works in the world, hanks to my subject choices. ^^
I study it......it does open your eyes and let you know a lot but regardless it
is still the most boring subject i do....possibly more my teachers fault than
anything else......he spends half the time contradicting himself and confusing
everyone with wrong info

Well, business is best for you, hehehe!

That's a boring teacher. Well, at least my professor is having some jokes to
bring up the class...

Sounds exactly like a basic Economics teacher. I've found that most of the
teachers who need math in their subjects often make errors and half the class
knows too little about the subject to even notice it. Therefore the more
educated pupils will need to correct the teacher before everyone copies the
false info into their notes...

Hey, my maths teacher does that. It's fine though...
I've never found any maths teacher bad, no matter what my peers think, because I
just get it... So he's not too bad for me. My friend & I sometimes help
him... but then there are hard questions all three of us have trouble on (not
many, I'm talking incredibly difficult).
But economics... well, I find it really interesting, I just can't do the work.
I'm capable of it from a talent/understanding point of view, easily, but I can't
motivate myself to actually complete it. I think it's to do with how we get it
assigned... a chapter a week is too hard to handle, because I'm a terrible
procrastinator & have no concept of time management. It would be OK if we
were given a quarter-chapter a night. It's not actually much work.
& yeah... the teachers can be boring. Mine is really boring when it's
work-related, but one of the best I have when it's not. I fell asleep in eco
once, because I'd been up all night doing an assigment (I think it was
chemistry), & they left me in the classroom... woke up during lunch with my
face in a small puddle of drool on my book. Not
cool. But the lessons themselves are either the worst I have, or the
best. I never know when it will be fun & when it will be boring.
faaah. my econ class in high school was right after lunch and it was sooo eazy.
basically the school makes it eazy enough so the dumbest person could pass
because its a class required to graduate high school, i probably could have
gotten a B on most of the tests without even being in class and one day when
most everyone was gone we watched a video and got 20 extra credit points for
listing 5 facts and the teacher pointed out that who directed the film was a
fact and maybe even the title.
I think it is quite interesting to understand how the world works. It helps when
you are out there in the society working as a businessman/woman. So I think it
is a very useful subject to learn during our high school/ junior
college.
Just had an economics exam, pure death!!
Im pretty usre ive farked it
As a subject, i reckon its pretty cool, it gives you a view of the world that
you previously ignored.
Cheers
Does anyone else study Economics as a school subject? Do you also feel really bored/tired during the classes?
I wish someone could borrow me a pillow before the lesson starts...
I have an Economics class cuz' I'm taking up Accountancy.
Well, to tell you the truth, sometimes it's boring and sometimes it's not. And it also depends on the professor or teacher whatsoever...

Yes, that is correct!
