I liked the new appleseed....

-> I've watched all Shirow movies (except Black Magic), but until I've watched Appleseed the movie, hands down its the best yet by Shirow. GITS: Innocence came a close second, but the storyline is a bit too weird for my taste (two points below Excel Saga).

I agree with you about GITS:I, but the scene in where they take on the Yakuza was absolutely awesome.
