I've heard people saying that there's a hacker on MT. Well Hacker if you're
reading this. YOu should know that you're going to get caught. (I think) If you
do not want to be a sissy, type me a reply.
If anyone else have a problem please reply. I'll try to inform Sheqel about this
problem. I'm trying to get as much info at the moment as well.
Hacker, noun: A person who enjoys exploring the details of
programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities, as
opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum
necessary.
Cracker, noun: An individual who attempts to gain unauthorised
access to a computer system. These individuals are often
malicious and have many means at their disposal for breaking
into a system. The term was coined ca. 1985 by hackers in
defence against journalistic misuse of "hacker". An earlier
attempt to establish "worm" in this sense around 1981--82 on
Usenet was largely a failure.
Please don't confuse the two! Kenshin would be pround if you didn't! =D
Well... there are a lot of hackers on the internet. You could be talking to one
at any given moment and not know it. In other words, try to be a little more
specific. You are talking about one hacker in specific, arent you?

Yeah, but the thing is how do I know that I'm talking to a hacker? I just wish
we could find this bastard.
1. A person who delights in having an intimate understanding of the internal
workings of a system, computers and computer networks in particular. The term is
often misused in a pejorative context, where "cracker" would be the
correct term.
2.Although this term has come to refer to a 'computer vandal,' or 'one who
breaks, unauthorized, into other peoples' computer systems' in the popular
media, it does not have such negative connotations in computer circles. Rather,
a 'hacker' has traditionally meant a computer programmer (not a mere user) of
breathtaking technical and creative proficiency. Steven Levy offers a
sympathetic portrayal of hackers, and the motivations that drive them, in his
1984 book of the same name. (Levy, 1984.) See also nerd, geek, guru,
wizard.
3.1) According to The New Hacker's Dictionary a hacker is a clever computer
programmer, who does not necessarily engage in illegal activities. 2) In the
media, a Hacker refers to a person who illegally break in or attempts to break
into a computer system. See Cracker.
What you need to look for is a cracker!
Definatinos for a cracker
1.A cracker is one who engages in one or more of the following: 1) breaks into a
computer system; 2) figures out ways to bypass security or license protection in
software; 3) intentionally breaches computer security. Contrary to popular
belief, Cracker is not synonymous with Hacker.
2.A person who illegally gains access to someone else's computer. The term
hacker is used incorrectly to mean what a cracker does.
3.An individual who gains unauthorized access to a computer system.
hey guys, let's not start a witch hunt here. if you actually have credible and
useful information, then please report it to the administration and moderation
team rather than "taking the law into your own hands" and directly
confront the "suspect." We do not need members mistakenly targetted
and flamed, as there isn't even confirmed information that there actually was a
hacker.
Please just report information using the support inquiry rather than go prowl
around hunting for a hacker or cracker. Thank you.

Please don't. We have enough problems on our hands already and we don't need duplicate threads on this.
I See, but whats the problem behind the problem?
