okay calm down first off this is a complaint thread
not a help thread...second maybe your wallie looked alot like a wall that was

you...
Bleedingdoll:
I was the one who reported your Ah! My Goddess wallpaper. The reason is exactly
as Jasmine wrote in your guestbook; you took two wallpapers by somebody else and
stitched them together to make a new wallpaper. Minitokyo policy does not allow you to modify another's wallpaper (in
this case, they were both done by Cynical126 of AbstractAnime.com, formerly of
AnimeWallpapers.Com) and claim them as your own. As such, I reported your
wallpaper for ripping.
For clarification:
Quote by Minitokyo FAQ - Submissions and
Submitting
What can I submit as wallpaper?
» You can submit finished wallpapers that you made
yourself using graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw, GIMP. This
means you cannot submit wallpapers that you found elsewhere, or modify existing wallpapers to submit them as
yours. You may use stock images such as those found on Minitokyo, for example
anime characters, to enhance the wallpaper.Submitting wallpapers from others is
known as ripping and will be immediately removed from Minitokyo with all
consequences that follow.

Did it ever occur to you that the website you got the images from might also
have ripped the wallpapers from another source? Unfortunately, ripping is quite
rampant on the web, and that is the case in this situation.
Those two images in your link are ripped from Cynical126 of AbstractAnime.com,
formerly of AnimeWallpapers.com. Those two wallpapers are still available from
AnimeWallpapers: http://www.animewallpapers.com/wallpapers/amg/index5.asp
In addition, although Cyn126 and Sarc59 regularly delete old wallpapers from
AbstractAnime, throughh the wonderful wayback
machine you can see old versions of AbstractAnime that still contain the
image. For example: http://web.archive.org/web/20010616043243/http://www.abstractanime.com/Galleries/amg.html
Although only 3 of the thumbnails show up, the last one (amg_5) is clearly the
same wallpaper as you used. Please also note the 20010616024343 in the previous
address: this is a timestamp. That means that page existed on the web 6.16.2001
which makes it quite an old wallpaper.
Both of those wallpapers made Cynical126 both famous and infamous at deviantart
back in the heyday when anime wallpapers were still allowed. Because her
wallpapers were chosen for a daily deviation, a great big stink over whether
anime wallpapers should even be allowed at the website began. Of course that
wasn't Cyn's intention but that is the fallout -- you might note that several
years ago Deviant Art removed ALL their anime wallpapers. I won't say this is
the incident that triggered it, but it was one of the factors that lead to the
decision.
I would like to finally note that Cynical126 is a member of this website: her userpage is http://cynical126.minitokyo.net --
although she never became an active member of the community. Regardless of that,
it doesn't matter who you rip from -- whether they are a member of this
community or not, that is not the point. The point is that the original
wallpaper was made by someone else, and that is clearly against Minitokyo
Policy.

My wallpapers were deleted! ;_; Might I add that if you really do see other people ripping and weren't just being melodramatic, report them.
