since i was young, iloves video games and anime! i always wondered how 2 take
screenshots! cuz i tried playing som anime dvd in2 my pc and press the print
screen button! but when i paste it in2 adobe photoshop, the middle part were the
picture should have been was missing!anyways, does anyone know how 2 do this???
plz tell me! thank you!
The only program i used and work to take screenshots for Dvd anime is WinDVD,
all you have to do is press screenshot button and paste it in adobe photoshop.
What program are you using to run? Any other alternatives try ctrl + i or ctrl +
s.
microsoft media player, well then all you have to press is ctrl + i and it will
let you save the screenshot to a file directory. If your talking about emulators
such as gameboy advance, just press the screenshot button and paste it in in a
paint program. That method to take ss from games should work because i do it all
the time.
Or just get a game disc video player and open up all the video files in the
disc. Appz like that usually come with all the tools for you to cut, cap and
save your video files.
We're talking about doing it on PCs, right? Cause' I don't see any means
possible of takeing screenshots from a console? 'Cept maybe by using a camera...
To make screenshots of my anime i use Zoomplayer. You get the exact same quality
of the stuff you are watching at.
And to make screenshots of videogames ( console i presume ) ... well i dont
know. I got a modchip in my xbox and there's "some" way to make
screenshots with it heh. though i dont know how.
If you meanc omputer games.. well most games already got a build in screenshot
taker and otherwise you just use the "print screen" button and then
paste it in paint / photoshop / paintshop or wichever program you use
-__- so... PS2 emulator or the console where you plug on the TV. Like i said
most of the emulators are simple to grab screenshots from, all you have to do is
press the screenshot button. As for console i forgot what the wire is called but
its a multi-wire where you can plug the video cable from your console and then
to your computer, i'm sure you need a video card that supports a Video plug like
Geforce or Radeon.
The reason why you can't take screenshots of video is that Windows uses
something called overlay. Windows creates a black region with a special code and
it sends this image to the video board. Then the player sends the image that it
wants to show directly to your video board and your board replaces the special
black region with the correct image.
So Windows doesn't "know" what is being shown in that region and for
Windows, that region is black.
If you are using WMP 9 there is a way to disable overlay. Tools > Options
> Performance > Advanced > Use overlays.
There are some players that allow you to take a screenshot without disabling
overlay. I think that Media Player Classic do it.

for dvds just use PowerDVD as that comes with your dvd player software on the
computer and it has a capture frame button on it (Default is the "c"
button

link cuz its against the rules posting pirated products! hehehehe
I think VLC player has built-in screenshot taker. Just right click and find the
Screenshot option in the menu that appears and it takes the current frame that
you are at.
i wasn't sure where 2 post this

ok but where do i get a ps2 emulator?????
Good luck on using a PS2 emu.... none can play commercial games, you know.
You should never post links to roms and sources of other forms of piracy in the forums. It's against the rules.
For windows media player, try going to the options and turn off video acceleration.

Yes, Hardware Acceleration needs to be off before takeing a screen shot with lots of stuff.
