Eulogy of an Angel

She was a person of great humanity
Her compassion towards others was more than she showed herself
She was truly an Angel that walked among us
She brightened our every day
Her smile would dry our tears
Her name was Aeris Gainsborough
She had such beauty
Even in her pink dress, she looked like a princess
A princess of the stars
The holder of our hearts
She touched many people
But still we wonder
We wonder why she was taken away
She gave her life to save us all
She saved us from this powerful demon
This Sephiroth
He fell from the sky, and took her away
He preached, saying that her spirit was now part of his power
How nothing can stop him
But he was wrong
Even in death, she still fought evil
Her last prayers were for the planet she walked on
And for the people who lived on it
Her last wish defeated that evil
She saved us all
Her spirit will be forever remembered
Remembered as the one flower girl who saved humanity

Aeris Gainsborough

I wrote this a few years ago. This was back when I was reading fanfics all the time.
Since Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is being released this month I thought it would be great to blow the dust off this old work of mine and share it with you all.
